HAAS shut down @ M30 stopped working

Hello all. We have 5 HAAS vertical cnc's. We use the shut down at M30 all the time. It has stopped working. The machines just sit there and beep, won't shut down. We have a new VF5 and new VF6 that won't shut down either. Was hoping someone here had a fix for me. Thanks in advance.

I'd take that over what mine does. Mine will not execute the correct program when a M98 command is given. For example, M98 P5 runs program 10? Not good... Gotta love Haas.

If by "Shut Down" you mean turn the machine off... there is a "setting" that you can select that will "power off at M30."

^{Thanks for the reply Reko. That is the command I'm talking about. All our machines will not shut down when the program is done and it reads the M30 at the end of the program. They used to, but not anymore. They just sit there and beep . Was hoping someone knew what caused this.}

Wow. So can you turn the setting off... then run an M30 in MDI... then turn the setting back on... and run M30 in MDI... and you are saying there is no difference?

^{Correct. I just went out and tried it. With the parameter on the machine beeped twice, counted down from 15 sec, at 13 sec it stopped beeping and remained on.}

So you are changing setting number two?

_{The only thing I can think of, is make sure your program is correct.}

_{Make sure your cutter comp is cancelled because it could be alarming the machine before it hits the M30.}

_{Then again, if you test it in MDI and it doesn't work, you might need HAAS to come in and look at it.}

Yes, setting #2 is power off at M30. I unhooked our RS-232 cable and with setting #2 turned on the machine shut down like it is suppose to, So there must be a conflict with DNC-Max causing this feature not to work. Thanks Reko for the help. Maybe someone here knows what this conflict might be. I know there are a lot of guys using DNC-Max.

are you running program in dnc mode? if so i have had that problem. will not shut down at m30 if i dnc program. but i dont dnc much any more because new machine has 16meg mem and the hard drive opp and i have usb. old machine only had floppy
