Chaining question

I am wondering what the trick is here:

 

my approach is a dnmg to turn the major OD and rough this groove, then finish the groove with a grooving tool. Upon this decision i extended the groove lines .05" thus destroying my nice smooth turning path. I am now tryin to recontruct the turning chain but i get to this intersection and it keeps telling me it doesnt meet, although if i click long enough it catches it. Any easier way then clicking till i get it ?

Are you in 2d or 3d? Have your Z set to something other than 0? Any of it splines.

As soon as i do the line extension in breaks the intersection as well.

Im not getting anywhere , it wont trim or extend the line to the intersection point, thus i cant put a proper chain together.

Well i guess magnified that much it just wont show it physically touching, i did get it by breaking the line going upwards on the 45 and making a point.

I run into this Chaining problem on occasion. Trying to trim/Break/ etc usually puts the two entities' endpoints Farther apart.

I usually just shut down Mcx and restart.

I opened it up in X5 and trimmed no issues . I did it in 2d and 3d no problem what version are you running?
