Are there any restriction for use finish flowline surfaces.

Because sometimes I get message "Selected drive surfaces do not form a row"

How estimate surfaces before for use finish flowline surfaces.

Any help are welcome

That means mastercam see's your selected drive surfaces U & V line flowing in different directions. "Not flowing together" Look up U,V flowlines in yer help files for a better understanding.

You can't change the UV lines in a surface. Also flowline doesn't work with more than 1 surface unless there is only 1 "row" of surfaces (You can't have a 2x2 patch of surfaces to cut). I have gotten around this in the past by creating slice curves on the patch of surfaces (spacing dependent on tolerance required) and lofting them together into a single new surface. Time consuming (I'd suggest a REALLY fast computer) but it works.

Just as an additional note: my experience has shown that flowline doesn't handle inside corner radii very well; especially if the corner radius of the tool is close in size to the radius of the surface.

True you cant change U V lines inside Mastercam . Mastecam Design IMHO needs more advance modeling tool sets. No advance surface rebuilding , point count editing, surface Degrees U or v editing, Knot weights controls " adding & removal". But i hear that some great improvments are coming to Ver10.

Changing the U+V direction of a surface is one of the most basic functions of surface creation. How Mastercam still does not support this is really mind-boggling. I guess you can always recreate all the surfaces.

I would maybe suggest Scallop for a toolpath if trying to matain a contant cut along a suface. I have also hated this about Mstercam and have just found ways around it is all.
