eror opening files

hey guys im new on this forum please help me when i want to open dwg file from autocad in mastercam x5 there is nothing on screen and it writes that its not entries even if file has...

and when i want to open mastercam Education MastercamX5 Part File (.EMCX-5) it writes that file does not exist please help

What version of Autocad are you using? If you are using Mastercam X5 the Autocad version must be pre X5 in other words no newer than 2011 I think. I have also found that you can not open a file by clicking on it with the educational version. You must open Mastercam first then open the file through the Mastercam open command.

Another thing to try would be screen -> unblank entities -> ctrl+a (select all) enter. Then fit screen to all entities and see if that makes anything visible. In your level manager does it say that there are entites on any levels?

++ above ... if the entities were all drawn in paperspace, the default Mcx setting is to blank paperspace
