Mazak 200MS Tool Post Info Needed

Recommended Posts

The machine is a 2003. Not sure what VMI even is?

Our CMM guy just crashed the CMM, so that is the reason I am asking. I can't get a comfortable reading in -Y-. So I knocked the pin out and stuck it in the machine and swept the pin location. But this tool holder has been crashed is the reason the pin in being bushed and replaced. I swept a good tool holder with and without the pin then swept this tool holder. I got some numbers I am comfortable with.

The crashed one is a Mazak. The one I have pictured is actually the good one which is a Parlec. I have tried searching the part numbers, Mazak and Parlec's website, and haven't been able to find any info. I'm just going to go ahead and cut it. I know I am within a thou.

Good or bad, I am a mill guy so I don't have any concerns LOL.

Who cut into the vise jaws? Not related but...

The guy that runs our Mazak mill had an endmill pull out of a collet on him while he was running another machine.

Yeah mkd. I told one of the lathe guys once again the mills were providing lathe support. But instead of finishing their work I was fixing their machines. He didn't laugh.
