I spent a hour trying to get a engrave toolpath to work using the contour toolpath. Same error no matter what I do. "INVALID TOOL MOTION DETECTED WITHIN DEPTH CUTS. OPERATIONS REQUIRE REGENERATION. CANCEL POST PROCESSING?"

I pulled the geo out as a step file, brought it into V6. did same path and tool, no issues.

anybody?

Uninstall completely and then

Delete the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Mcamx7

C:\Users\Documents\my mcamx7

C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared mcamx7

Deleted the following registry entries:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam X7

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam X7

Reboot and then do a clean install

This should do the trick

I know it seems excessive, but my experience tells me this is about the one fail safe way to ensure a clean install without issue.

I got the same error on Thursday. I essentially have a clean mcx7+ sp1 install. Said there was an error in depth cuts. I had no depth cuts. .005 deep, .03 inc feed plane, .05 abs retract plane, 2 inch clearance plane only at beginning and end. I had to just post it and use it. There seemed to be nothing wrong with it.
