X7 sp1 verify problems

I have recently upgraded to X7 sp1. I am seeing an error message window when I try to launch verify. This is a fairly simply 3 axis milling program and the tool for op 12 is a drill. The message error is as follows.

Simulation(this is in the title field of the error message window)

Tool for operation #12 has undercuts! Please select from UBV -> File ->

Options -> General -> Simulation Engine=5axis in order to get correct

results

I go to that page of options and the 5axis box is already checked. I close the error window and verify proceeds as if nothing is wrong. What's going on?

Is compare STL still there? Don't seem to be able to find it.

After you verify, zoom into an area you want to focus on and hit "accurate zoom".

I also have a workaround for the stl compare tolerances being way out of whack if you would like.

Hi Micro, long time no talk!

This happens with not only under cut tools, but Face mills and tools with the shank being smaller than the cutting diameter.

It is really annoying to have that message pop up every time. Happens in SP2 also.

Yup, download from cnet.

Then put this into the typertask file

{Control}{Alt}S=.01 .005 .001 -.001 -.005 -.01

In between the .01, .005, etc... remove the spaces and hit the tab key 3 times.

Now whenever you hit "control alt s" it will type that sequence of keystrokes. (i.e. .01 tab tab tab .005 tab tab tab..... and so on)

So when compare is up, highlight the first (top left) field and hit "control alt s".

It should look like this inside typertask...

You have to make sure Typertask is running in the notification area of the taskbar. After I edit Typertask I have the bad habit of hitting the red X wich closes Typertask. Hit the minimize button and try it again. It works great. Thumbs up to K2csq7!

Also, after making edits to the typertask file you must save it before closing. (forgot that part)

I can close it with the red x after saving and all is well.

I loved Verify in X6. Now is a nightmare. I can run it 1-2 times without problems and then it cannot calculate whatever and whatever else, it freezes and crashes.

And when it works, is there any way to have a section and measure some of the features in that section?
