Okuma canned drilling cyles

Our new 5X hmc has an OSP200 control

 

I've been having an issue with the spindle stopping every time it sees a G80

Its been going on since day one, but the operator never told me about it

and I don't get out to watch the machine run.

 

I looked through the manual and figured it out

does anyone know why they would do something like this

I can't think of any good reason for it.

I almost always use a G00 to cancel it

are you saying omit the G80 and just use a G00

or

Use G0 only

Yes, G00 is all I use. You can then eliminate the G80

I use G00 Z?? back to the reference height

I encountered this a few years ago. All I did was edit the post output so there was a G0 on a line before the G80. Works fine
