X7 Graphic Display problem

I just installed X7 lev 3 and the SP2 on a new quad core laptop. It is using windows 8. The program was running great until I loaded a large file and start to verify it. The graphics screen turned white from the black screen I set. In the configuration file black is picked. I tried uninstalling MC7 and deleted all traces I could find before reinstalling. The same problem...the graphic screen is still dead. I have MC6 lev 3 installed and it works fine. Any Ideals?

No....AMD Radium 8400D

radeon is not supported you need NVidia quadro series to run properly. high end NVidia gaming card will also run it but alittle slower. amd radeon does not support open gl properly for mastercam.

Have you tried switch it from OpenGL to GDI. This is usually my first fix for graphics issues. Look in

 

Settings > Configuration > Screen

I tried the GDI setting but the graphic screen is still blank. The info in the tree shows up. The MCX6 lev3 works fine on this laptop.

maybe the background color in System Config/ colors got set to white???

My first step whenever I have graphics issues is to check the date on the driver. My second step on a newer laptop is to disable the built in video card and make sure it's using the good one I'm not sure if ATIs have that feature, though, but it's bitten quite a few people I know with an intel integrated card and an nVidia Quadro that doesn't get kicked on appropriately..
