A couple of X7 Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

Just a couple if X7 questions that others might have already figured out.

1) When I run Verify and My "Model" is a 3d box for the stock but a Full blown. DXF Sheet

With 50,000 entities etc. I see the whole mess in Verify ?

Even if I put the dxf on another level and turn it off etc.

Verify shows it. How do I keep from seeing it in Verifyand only see my Box stock model ?

2) Spin dynamically in MC / Pan with middle mouse & Spin in Verify Pan with middle mouse button ?

Currently I have Pan on Middle mouse button on in my .cfg but then I cant spin in Verify !?

Is there a way to Spin and Pan in both MC and Verify ?

3) 2D champhering , In previous and now X7 I get the

"Tool is to small to create champher, maximum Champher allowed will be generated" or something like that.

Not MC's fault but What am I doing wrong ?

My tool is a 45 deg cutter defined .005 at the bottom all the way at 45 deg to a .500 shank.

(As a taper cutter or a Champher tool I can't recall)

A .030 champher no matter what over hang I set the tool goes -.0025 deep.

I have been fudging my Z at the control for years.

4) In X7 when I drag drill points from one op to another I only get the prompt

" Retain depths or whatever" I no longer get "Merge or Replace 1'st" I swear in X6 and back it used

to ask me about replacing and merging also

Is there a setting I missed to get the full choice(s) prompt ?

Thanks everyone for any help

Tony

1: I think you have to restart the verify. Everything that is on your screen will show when you press the icon in ops. Even if you hide them...verify has to look at your screen each time it loads.

I like that feature because I can turn on my windows and see how they are cuttng in verify.

2: I pan by zooming in and out with the mouse wheel.

Cursor placement determins how it will pan.
