3D CHAMFER

I have milled cam edge using 5axis swarf (worked well)- trying to deburr inner edge (see picture- black lines)  post-54503-0-12691200-1408680862_thumb.png

using 3D chamfer with a ballnose - the second picture post-54503-0-05478700-1408680868_thumb.png shows the deburr is not even - the problem is less pronounced if i use a smaller ballnose - but still there.

Is there a way i can get an even chamfer/ deburr on this edge using 3D chamfer toolpath ??

Alternatively- is there  a way i can use a 5axis cycle to deburr the edge ( I know i could use swarf to mill edge if there is a chamfer on model

(i.e. deburr edge - but struggled trying to get a chamfer on model edge)

Any suggestions ??

( I have enclosed screenshots as files - is there a way i can put pic in this area - or is this for text only)

Create a surface of the chamfer you want, then create a surface blend toolpath, pick the inside and outside edge curves of the surface as your chains and , voila, accurate chamfer.

Or, use center compensation for the tool.  Then just offset geo at a 45 degree vector by the amount less than the radius of the tool that you want to cut it with.  This will work on most shapes.
