Optional Stop

I know I have asked this before but I never really got anywhere with it. I also did a search and couldn't find anything useful.

I am engraving numbers 1-67 on a set of cores for a mold. We will be doing them one at a time. What I wanted to do was put an optional stop in between each number. It works fine until it gets to a number that has more than one chain in it. It puts an M01 between every chain

Example Code:

code:

N138 (7)

N140 X.0167 Y.5694

N142 M01

N144 Z-.2788

N146 G01 Z-.298 F.5

N148 X-.0183 F1.

N150 X.0167 Y.5194

N152 G00 Z5.

N154 (8)

N156 X.0005 Y.5499

N158 M01

N160 Z-.2788

N162 G01 Z-.298 F.5

N164 X.0023 Y.5496 F1.

N166 G02 Y.5196 I-.0012 J-.015

N168 X-.0142 Y.5444 I-.0039 J.0152

N170 X-.0023 Y.5499 I.0139 J-.0143

N172 M01

N174 G01 X-.0035 Y.5501

N176 G02 X-.0155 Y.5629 I-.0016 J.0105

N178 X.0145 Y.5614 I.0144 J-.0127

N180 X.0005 Y.5499 I-.0125 J.0009

N182 M01

N184 G01 X-.0023

N186 G00 Z5.

N188 (9)

N206 X-.0142 Y.5489 I.0047 J.0129

N208 G00 Z5.

N210 (10)

N212 X.02 Y.569

N220 X.0118 Y.5693 F1.

N222 X.0099 Y.5194

N224 G00 Z5.

N226 X-.0076 Y.5283

N228 M01

N230 Z-.2788

N232 G01 Z-.298 F.5

N234 X-.0059 Y.5319 F1.

N236 G03 X-.0191 Y.5686 I-.026 J.0113

N238 X-.0388 Y.5478 I-.0004 J-.0194

N240 X-.0207 Y.519 I.0242 J-.0049

N242 X-.0076 Y.5283 I-.0018 J.0166

N244 G00 Z5.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can fix this?

Thanks

I do what you are trying to do all the time.I have never tried using M00.I usualy force a tool change between each number and have the opperator use the M01 opptional stop at the control. My post outputs an n number for each op so fo number 1 you start at n100 number 2 n200 etc.

I am using a custom post for a viper with a fanuc 18 control.

My post looks like

pcan # Canned text - cantext = 0, 1, 2, 3

if cantext = 1, "M01" #optional stop

if cantext = 2, "cantext2"

if cantext = 3, "cantext3"

When I try to insert canned text in the operation manager it does not work. I click on the canned text box, and add the text before or after. I have added the the canned text to my post text file.

As far as can see I am doing this right.
