HELP: ANYONE KNOW A GEAR MACHINE SHOP?

Hi, there,

 

I have a gear part, but don't know any gear machine shop.

 

material is 11 gauge 304-2B finish SST, Module is 0.8mm, pressure angle is 20 degrees, pitch Dia is 259.2mm. attached is the solidworks Model.

 

can you please give a contact if you know any gear shop?

This part screams laser cut.

Gear cutting on .120" (3mm) stock is impractical,

So if .004" tolerance is good enough. (I'm sure it is because it will most likely bend/bow > .02" (0.5mm))

Laser cut it.

I've used rush gears before: http://www.rushgears.com/ and had good luck. They also have some tools that will generate a model if you need one. Found them with Google several years ago and price was good then.

 

I've also made really thin gears by stacking a piece of sacrificial support on both sides that was about 3/8 thick. Having said that, buy extra stock. I've only made a handful of gears. You don't realize there's a problem until the last tooth... I've also had better luck asking an old timer to do it on a Bridgeport and dividing head than programming on a rotary. Bet money the old timer will be faster too.
