2D Contour Toolpath

Is there a way to reverse a 2D Contour toolpath to cut for Z- to Z+ (bottom to top)?

 

I am putting a large angle on a wall and would be easily programmed with a 2D countour with a tapered wall.  I would like to start at the bottom and work to the top so I can use the side flutes of the cutter.

It's not that I don't know how to do it another way - I am just asking if there is a way to do a bottom to top cut with a 2D contour.

yES Y0U COPY CONTOUR TP MANY TIMES AND CHANGE DEPTHES  .

rATHER STRANGE QUESTION

You know yourself there is no option in contour 2d.

But lots of ways to do this fast enough

 

I did this machining many times with different ways.

You can never have toolpathes that do all the possible stuff .you need to be creative sometimes

I don't see how. I used the old wire tool paths for that type of work, along with a bullnose cutter.

Did you try searching the fourm? I think I remember reading something like this.

I tried searching the forum and really didn't see anything.

 

I know there isn't something inside the toolpath but that doesn't mean it cannot be done.  Maybe a CHOOK or something?

Simple parametric program will do this as I did when I worked pencilCad

Use simple trig to change your offset and G10 command to change it

Drive a loop with condition like for or while for height

draw the solid with taper angle

create->curve->slice it needed times .

When selecting the toolpath try select from gview side with window and point on the lower contour

Sometimes this works out sometimes not

When it is not good select order by hand

Use regular contour with taper toolpath

Save toolpath geometry and use it for the order from bottom to top

[gcode]

draw the cut lines

chain them from bottom to top

On the Linking page

set Depth and Top of Stock  to Incremental 0

and Retract to  a safe Absolute value
