To be a bit more specific, I would want this to be done only when positioning to mill or drill in 2d or 3d motion when profiling milling or drilling in a rotated fixed axis.

after the machining is done in a rotated position I want the c axis to return to zero if the  a axis does so, and only at a tool change is not exactly what I am looking for.

a separate post would be used when doing any true 5 axis work.

Thanks in advance for any further advice.

You could add a mi or mr trigger to a post to make this happen if you want it. There is logic in different posts to reset the titling axis, but it would really come down to the post you are using and if you bought one from a company. There Generic 5 Axis post has limited logic built into for this. The ones from In-House and Postability both have some nice switches in them to control behavior like this. Colin teaches a post class and is a good resource to get a hold of if you would like to tackle this on your own. I also think you could do this and your full 5 Axis all with one post using the mi or mr trigger. Then you can decide when and how you want it, but not have to use 2 different posts.

Thanks Ron, I will look into this a bit, what your saying about one post is more what I would like to see, I will look into this a bit more today,

I have done exactly that in other cam software that's why I figured it was possible here. Just a bit new to the post side of master cam.

Mike no problem and it MP (Mastercam Posts) are a lot different. With a Visual Builder that you tie axis to post output the method of kinematics and such make more sense. I hate to say it, but MP posts are more like tribal knowledge to figure out. Other CAM have very cool tools to build posts. I am not saying MP posts are lacking they just require a lot more knowledge of the inter working than others. Once you get the process and logic down then you can start wrapping your brain around it. I would recommend you get a hold of your dealer and get the latest MP Documentation. It at times seems weird that obsolete documentation is still included, but then once you see where it explains things still being used you see it's importance to have it. 5 Axis posts and working with 5 Axis machines as I am sure you are aware is not the everyday thing for most companies. Same rule applies to posts not your every shop thing so I hate to say there are not as much resources as for 3 and 4 axis posts. I have some different things I have collected over the years and you are more than welcome to them if you would like them.

Best of luck in your endeavor and hopefully you get everything figured out and dialed in like you want and I am sure need.
