Replacing Contour and Shallow Toolpath???

The impression I get is that CNC won't update the old paths because it wants to kill them.  This would be why they're not on the ribbon; if you make them hard to find they'll be used less, and then you can use that as an excuse to kill them.

 

That makes sense, given that the classic surfacing toolpaths are gone from the mill turn product

It may be time to look at BobCAD if they eliminate the legacy paths. The last version that has it is the last time I pay maintenance.

ya surface finish contour for molds is great....I love the ability to ramp multisurf contour toolpaths and have simple tool motion.

 

Also surface finish shallow is great...
