Hi all, I am new to CNC, and learning to operate Okuma CNC Lathe LFS12-2SP (2 chucks and 2 turrets with 2 Loaders). Once my trainer start machine I saw on the screen OSP-U100. I think this is its operating system. Can I get more information about this machine how to operate, how to use panel buttons etc. I searched on Google but could not find any information.

Thanks

Well I am working in an automobile company and now they want me to run cnc-lathe coz I have some previous experience. A guy is giving me training how to setup machine, tool offsets and he is doing good. But I want to study at home also. That's why I am looking more information about it.

Thanks.

Good attitude to have cheers.gif

The most important thing to remember on an Okuma lathe control is that you have NO CONTROL of rapid moves unless you are in Single Block unless the machine has a seperate rapid override knob but most of them do not. This means that even though you have the feedrate override on '0' the machine will still rapid at full speed curse.gif

If you forget every other thing about the control, remember that

If you tell your supervisor what you are trying to do, maybe they'll loan you the operator's manual or the CD-ROM; I would if I were them
