How do tools get corrupted?

Opened a file and it said two were corrupt. They back plot fine.

 

So I deleted one and pulled it from the library again and saved and reloaded the file. The error was gone even though I only changed one of the tools

What I like is when you are in lathe and there is an error. It does not tell you what the problem is or show you the path to try and fix it. It just throws up an alarm so you can play "Needle In A Haystack".

But at least it makes you click "ok" 3 times before you can get to the haystack.  I usually know what I've messed up and get frustrated clicking the same dialogue 3 times.

When I hit ok it removes the tools. If I hit no it was fine and back plot ok, posts in camplete ok. 

 

One was an endmill which I changed the size and description, the other was a thread mill that I made this morning.

I created a left hand rotation thread mill in the tool creation wizard because we are not tapping the threads. this is when it started it happened again on a similar file.

Do you use this with your left handed crescent wrench?

No it's an allied machine thread mill it spins ccw and climb cut top to bottom with g42.
