Gentlebodies,

i am looking for help with generating points on all endpoints of all lines, arcs or splines. could this be done using a C-hook. the reasoning behind this is that there are surface generators that work with cloudpoints but none ( that i know of ) that will work with an STL model. it would be nice to be able to generate point data at the endpoints of lines, arcs, splines of the STL model and then delete the lines, arcs, splines leaving behind a cloud point data set. this cloud point set could then be used to generate a surface feature. i know Mastercam can directly work with machining STL models but the idea is to create a surface from the STL model and then be able to export the surface to whomever needs it. ( is whomever one word or two). am i way off here or does this idea hold water. thanks for listening. smile.gif
