Mastercam 2018 locks the computer when opened

Two computers out of 6 lock up after clicking the icon that they have to be powered down with the power button. Happened all of a sudden with 2 after years of use.

I turned off hardware acceleration and they worked but one still locked up.

I wonder if a driver update is screwing it up. All the machines have the same video cards

look at the update history and see if Windows Updates updated your drivers for you.

Some years ago I had an automatic video driver update  knock the entire programming staff out.

The only machine that wasn't down was mine, because I shut it off every night and it didn't get the update

Rolling the drivers back fixed the problem

yea probably an update happened, try updaing the gfx card driver from the card manufactureres website, like nvidia.com or amd.com and then turn hardware acceleration back on (it should be on with a dedicated graphics card) and see if mastercam starts.
