Placement of Manual Entry

In my programs, I like to have some ()'d quick setup instructions in the beginning, and G10 L20 P1, etc lines at the beginning of the program, just after the header, before the first operation.  However, if I add a Manual Entry Toolpath as the first toolpath, for some reason it places that Manual Entry AFTER the program header, tool list, etc.  Is there any way, aside from cut/past every time, to get the Manual Entry to post AFTER the header where (IMO) it should be??

Or is there a better way of writing offsets at the beginning of a program??

Thank You!!

Try searching for comment control and look for a post by djsteadman. He walks you through setting up a couple of buffers to handle manual entry as code and manual entry as comments. It's a bit old and the base posts have changed somewhat but I managed to get it to work well.

It might be just what you need.

Thanks again.

The limiting factor is the amount of data you might want to include in any one manual entry. If its only a line or two then you can use the existing comment system, but if you want more data in the me then you need to buffer.

Either way will probably take some post editing to get it to output where you want. I was pretty green (I'm only slightly off green now) when I added this to my post. I learned a lot. Keep your documentation handy.
