Hey guys,
I used to be a Mastercam programmer for years. And then we moved to other Cad/Cam system. My question is, how fast will I learn the latest version. Didn’t touch Mcam siince version 9.

You have 2 options here;
1 - in simulator goto File - Defaults - Save to Defaults
2 - Click on the dropdown tab and click on save to defaults to add to the QAT and then save,
Huge v9 fanboi here but liking 2020 much better after spending quite some time getting used to it.
Definitely spend some time in classes or on the tube watching vids, and ask questions here. These guys are on top of their game and love to help.
The Verisurf free tools are utilities and functions to help make your job easer.
These tools have been used by thousands for over a decade.
Some of these tools Mastercam has now added so they are not as useful. like save 3D PDF file.
I think Hole Axis or Auto Hole Axis is the most used. works with curves and surfaces.
There are a lot of other good and useful tools for CAD when needed.

I briefly worked at a shop that built V8 racing engines from billet
Their main programmer used a seat of 2.5X Gibbs running on an old Apple.
We had several seats of Mastercam and used Port Expert for the 5X head machine,
He absolutely refused to even look at it.
He had a whole closet full of dead Apples and spent his weekends prowling the swap meets
looking for Apple parts, He spent more time keeping his last Apple running than he did programming.
