I did some searching and found that most of you use what I have always used in terms of speeds and feeds for reaming. But I came across this today and it seemed to be way to fast in the feed area:
REAMING RECOMMENDATIONS
Choice of Reamer:
Straight Flute reamers may have advantage in blind holes, since lefthand spiral flutes tend to push swarf forward. Generally speaking the standard range of reamers will suffice for reaming most ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Reaming Speeds:
Should be approximately 50% of the speed used for drilling the same material. Faster speeds are generally not an advantage , but may be possible in exceptionally rigid and efficient designs. Chatter degrades the surface finish and must be strictly avoided.

Reaming Feeds:
Should be approximately 100% greater than the feed used for drilling the same material. Insufficient feed may degrade the finish and roundness of the hole and increase tool wear.
I've never seen the feed be that fast when reaming, anyone else?
I have a machine that has a seperate indexer that we add to the table for certain jobs. When this indexer is used, I need to input a *safe tool change position*(STCP). I have manually input this where I want in the past, but was hoping I could use the manual entry feature to just have it post out correctly. I tried it and I don't like where in the code it placed the info.

How can this be done? Or is there a better way to force STCP than using manual entry?
Seems to me that others' have gone off-topic, because of neilj posting on topic...and because of that, those that come into the thread without reading all the posts, automatically think it's neilj's fault, when it's actually the rest of you who can't seem to let sh!t go.

Yes...I was hoping that it would change the entities I selected, and would leave the unchanged entities at the programmed feedrate.
In the example from the op, I selected only the radius', hoping the straightaways would go unchanged.

I like that, never knew that was available.
One thing I did notice, I had to select the straight legs and adjust them to the programmed feedrate or else they also converted to the slower feedrate.
The backplot time doesn't take tool changes into account.
The setup sheet does, and there should be a setting in the MMD file and the post where you can input how long your machine takes to do a toolchange, and that is where the setup sheet gets it's times from.
I don't know much about haas machines, this machine is part of a company we purchased.
Common practice is to use G54 as your preferred offset for machining. Well, this haas has G54 locked up to use as a setting for touching off tools.
The operator puts the machine in MDI mode, punches in G54 and the machine is ready for touching off tools.
Is there a way to change the touch off process to use a different offset besides G54?

No, on the migrate, just an overwrite.
I thought there was a setting for making the cutter slow down in corners, but I was unable to find anything, and I can't seem to remember what setting it was.
Any help?
We've had good results with them(holders) so far. I would suggest using them for all materials, not just the harder stuff. Definitely notice a difference with just going from a standard tool holder to the big plus.
Don't have any info on the spindle.
