For some PC that don´t have installed MC I need a viewer for vectorial files.
The mayority of the files that I will open are iges files but also DWG´s.
¿Could somebody recomend me a Viewer?
thanks
Ron:
I get a prt file from my customer. He design in Ungraphics.
I simply try to open this file in Mastercam without any add on.
I´m sure I´m doing something wrong. In MC documentatio cann I see that prt is an ProE file an not a Unigraphics file.
How cann I open prt unigraphics files?
Thanks
I get some files made in Unigraphic but I can not open it.
Just gives me an error that file type is not supported or it is a newer version.
Any idea???
Thanks
Alvaro: My curves are always circles. What did you mean with "post mod"?
Taperlenght yes you are right, the problem is that this is for a tire sidewall and there are a lot of letters, logos there.
I need to find an easier way.
Pete:
I thank you very much for your answer. in former times I test this procedure to Mapping. But actually takes a lot of time.
After that I put my Logo in position I need to engrave al this logo. I will try with the Wrapping option from the engraving tool path.
Thanks anyway
Toonz my letter are not True Type. There are actually logos like Pirelli or Good-year. Thanks anyway
Leandro
I get from my customers Logos on a Straight Line and I need to put them on a curve like in the example.
Usually I convert every part of the Logo in a Letter and use the Create Letter _ Top of Arc option.
This works fine but takes a lot of time.
Cann somebody imagine a way to do this in a quickier way ?
Thanks
I´m looking for a sole design or a shoe design for make a pair of "Personalized" shoes.
Did somebody had a file that I can use as a base?
in advanced I thank you very much
I´m now playing with solids. Obviously for design is much better than simply with the wireframe. Is also better make drawings for send or print to my Customers.
But I´m a little be desapointed for select geometry for machinig. Even in the MC sample files they don´t take solids. In the waste mayority of the cases they take the wireframe that they use for make the solids.
What for is than the solids add-on?? Just for design or did you also machine with your solids.
Thanks
Scott: thanks for your answer.
Actually I suppose my problem is more a Lenguaje problem than a Technikan problem.
My question is what is the threading procedure in a threading toolpath.
The G76 Cycle turns from the OD to the final depth minus finish pass Allowance in rough passes and than turns the final pass (equal to allowance)
During the rough operation the last pass is Amount of last pass.
Is this correct???
Thanks
I´m trying to modified my Lathe post.
I¨m using a standard Fanuc 2 Axis post.
One of my parameters is First depth.
In my example Total depth is 5 mm and Equal area passes are 5.
I get as result for thdfirst D=2.151
This value is comming from the NCI 0,215014.....
What do this value represent ???
This is not 5/Sqr 5
Actually what is the formula that Masteram use to do this calculation?
Thanks
In my control definition I set the path where i wont to post my NC files. eg. Machine1
Is possible to set my control definition or change my post to get my NC files in a Subdirectorie depending of the MachineGroup.
For example in a file with the MachineGroup1 and the Nc file name NCFile.NC to post my files in the directorie:
Machine1MachineGroup1NCFile.NC
Thanks
Looks very nice the tree Style dialog box for 2D Toolpath. But I cann not get to work the Save parameters Button.
My Default files don´t change.
For change my default parameters I had to do like in former versions.
Any suggestion??
Thanks
Ok,ok. Now I understand. I suppose we are the only one that hit our probe. Now I see you have the same problem.
In Southamerica there is no Renishaw Service. the representative only sell new probes (US6700,- each)
I think for me is cheaper take my probe to the USA, visit a nice place and returns with a repaired one to Argentina.
Thank you very much for all the information.
Is there a way to change feed and speeds automatically when I change the tool holder.
e.g
My T1 a 4" Bull nose.
When I had to mill a regular pocket I use a regular tool holder but when I had to mill a deep pocket I take a long tool holder. With this longer tool holder I had to reduce speed and feeds. I do this manually but is a way to do this with the Speed feed calculator?
Thanks
I´m MCX3 MU1 user and when i need to access to a file it takes several minutes.
For example when I try to open a MCX file in the network, when i post a file in the network even when I try to Open a Machine definitio that is located in c: takes minimum 15 sec. to open.
OS is Vista 64.
Strange is that when i try to find this files or directories in Windows I don´t have any problems.
Thanks
For my CNC machines I always have a Renishaw Probe to setup.
But for older manual machines is there any devise that you take for setup?
I think in a manual probe?
Are there devises like this.
I saw in a thread for many month ago some probes for tool setting. Actually I cann not find this thread
Thanks
