  2. Sorry Tony I understud you want to change feed. Have a look in the Pocket toolpath. Pocket allow to you to override feed and speed For this you cann rough with your 450 rpm and finish to 700 rpm. You cann also set keep tool down to avoid retract. May be this help you
  3. Select you contour in both ways. (Blue button) Than edit with the Toolpath Editor.(right click on the operation in the Operation Manager - last option) Select your point. Edit your point and change the rpm. Complicate but posible.
  4. Greg: Check your e-mail Your geometry had some problems: duplicate lines, untrimed lines and so on. But obviously Mastercam don´t like your DIN grooves. I create a new level named: LEANDRO and copy the geometry there. Remove the groves and works.

  6. Try with other Toolpths but actually for a simple face there are to complicate. Did not exist just a Pocket facing where my entry point is outside the contour? Or a face that support an island ? Any other suggestion ??? This are just two faces in different depths ?

  8. I have a simply face with a boss. I can not take Face for facing because the boss. Than I try with a pocket facing insland but I can not get that the tool starts outside of the contour. Actually I prefer to start outside to avoid to use a ramp,helix, plunge rate.... When I could enter outside I run with G0 to final depth. How did you do this kind of simply facing ?? Thanks
  9. Mic I always get the helixes in that way when I take the helix bore Toolpath. For keep simple the main program. I do my Helixes in a subprogram. I don´t have any problem with disk space or transfering to the CNC machine. For create a Z2G check in Menu-> Help -> Create Zip to Go
  10. You are right the colors are wrong but works. I use it in this way when I need, no matter about colors.
  11. Just change the toolholder from right to left or from left to right.
  12. I am working on X3 without the Solids option. ¿Did I need the X_T file? ¿Is the SLDASM an assembly file? Actually my customer givme Solidwork files an STP files. I could open the STP file but is rotated 180º. And because I dont have the solid option I can not rotate the part. I try to open the Solidwork in the hope is in the right side. I open the STP file as Surfaces and then I cann rotate but changes all the colors and now is complicate to differ the parts. Any sugestion will be apreciate. Thanks
  13. I don´t have any experience with a solidwork file and I get from my customer a subdirectory with a lot files. Some of them SLDASM and others with the extension SLDPRT. Some SLDPRT looks funny like ~$204.SLDPRT When I try to open the SLDASM file that the customer said is the main file I get following message: Cannot find Parasolid data in SolidWork file But when I try to open the SLPRT file I cann open it well. What cann I do to open the complete project ??

  17. Lans: Depending of my controls (Siemens and xxxxor)I cut standard thraeds with a canned cycle via Mastercam. Sometimes for complicate threads I do this with a Manual entry. For very complicate thread (different tapper angle, rounded root or something like that) I don´t use Mastercam. In this case I programm my threads direct in the control with the controls utility. Manual Turn for Siemens Auto Turn or something like this. Depends of you control. For this I draw my thread in Mastercam and take this points for program. Regards
  18. I have got two lathes with xxxxOR 8055 where I send my NC files with WINDNC V2.0 from xxxxor. But actually this programm is not friendly. Is complicate to change machines. Sometimes this produce an error. What did you xxxxor user´s use for this? Thanks

  20. I need to mill on a 3500 kg piece a 14 Inches, 2 Tees per inch Butress Thread. I am not succesfull finding an apropiate tool. Did Somebody have any idea where cann I get this kind of tools. In advanced thanks Leandro

  23. Alex: I check your soft but I had some problems to test it. May be inspite of the Spanish Windows. But i don´t think that this is what I´m looking for. I personally "imagine" a tool where I can load my TXT file in a Excel sheet. An with the Excel tools (Filter,Auto filter, replace and so on) I cann change values from more to one tool in one time. Something like this. Ofcourse with all the datas. Could be also in different sheets. for example one sheet for drills, one for flat mills. And than I coould replace all the values from one type of tool in one step. for example If I want to change all the 1 Peck %dia values from all my drills now I had to edit one by one all the tools. This is not simple. With a sheet like this I could changes all values just in one time. Obviously that there are some values that don´t make any sens to changes. I think diameter. After I changs that what I need I had to save to TXT and brin it back to Mastercam. Thanks Leandro
  24. Now is something that i don´t understand. When I exoprt i can get a convertion to txt, a report and a detailed report. Reports looks nice but any changes that I make there can not be imported back to Mastercam.   25. ToolMan: I try to exporta as text from MC and import in Excel.¿Is this correct? But the file that I get is complicate to handled. May be I´m not importing correctly. Is another way?? Thanks
