  1. We have dozens of 1/4" drills and a premier account with Garr Tool. If you need it to get the job done. We will buy it. You can't be cheap with your employee's or your tool's if you expect to make a quality product. Our Christmas party was great with a full dinner, open bar and Bounus checks. We all went home fat and happy. Life is good on this side of the country. Make the move. I am looking for a level 3 programer. We make blades and vanes. Send me an e-mail. 2. Thanks Rob, For the right candidate, compensation is very good. People off the street seem to lack experience in MC. Is everyone working again? Here is our web site address. www.bnbmfgco.com
  3. Looking for a Process Engineer/CNC Programmer in Winsted, CT 06098 CNC Process Engineer: 3-D modeling and 3-5 axis programming for milling. Production experience with airfoils, impeller, blisk and other parts for turbine engines with an emphasis on 3-5 axis complex surfaced parts machine programming is a plus. email resume [email protected]
  4. Thanks Steve. I had an online demo from Germany and it looked preety sharp.
  5. Does anyone here have experience with Camaix USA Industrial Technology Development. We are getting our first 5 axis machine and will be doing some complex Blisk parts. It runs inside Mastercam. Thanks in advance.
  6. Too many bugs to use -X-. Post processors did not convert. Subprograms do call correctly. Even with SP1. More mouse cliks for the same process. Editing and turning switches on for debug in posts. NG. Post is now a compiled program. Not very nice. Editor has line numbers. Why? I looks like we will wait again to see what service pack 2 brings.
  7. I have been having this problem for a long time. I have found that, if I turn down the quality of the verify so low it is not very helpful. The verify program will run complete most of the time. Matt, Thanks for the tip. I have removed the verify.prm file. The system regenerates the file when you run verify. I will see if the problem goes away. Possible that file gets corrupt.
  8. I have found -X- to be unusable for my applications until the program number for subs is put back in the operations manager. Right now it is nothing more than a toy for when I have free time. Opps, thats never. I hope SP1 gets here soon.
  9. I am not sure in -X- but in V9 in chain mgr pick reverse chain and pick change sides.
  10. Paul, Now I can pull my pants back up. Thanks. Still need underwear. When will SP1 come out any idea?
  11. Black is terrible for your eyes. A nice pastel blue works for me.
  12. This is really ugly for us. We write complicated programs with hundreds of operations. Our posts have been written and re-written over the years to generate a new subroutine by program number for each operation. It would be impossible to find a minor program glitch if we only used one program and a duanting task to change the machine group for each operation and regenerate. Please bring back the program number capability.
  13. This works pretty good. Flexbar fine proofing alloy. flexbar

  15. Both are loaded on mine without any problems. The levels manager was replaced in V9 to the -X- It took some getting used too but is OK.
  16. MCX transition guide pg 18. I tried to convert mine from the server in V9 and MCX put them in the C: drive. No choice but to move later in explorer.
  17. I adjust the levels on the import file to be empty levels in the target file. This is a easy way to make it work. Especially now you have an unlimited number of levels.
  18. I have had this problem in V9. Just loaded -X- yesterday. Try turning the quality/speed down in verify and run it. Most of my work is surfaces. If a radius on the surface is anything close to the tool radius it will blow you out.
  19. Thanks for the reply Thad. I did a search and came up empty. I guess I will just have to get used to it. Not very easy on the eyes. I might try some glasses and see if that helps.
  20. Make them one at a time as needed. You will be surprised how quickly the library develops.
  21. Anyone know how to make the -X- levels manager look like the old one in V9. I updated to -X- yesterday with v9 still on system. Now both -X- and v9 have the same levels manager. Black and white. I want the old look back. My eyes can not focus on the new one. Thanks
  22. We have been using .pdf ( adobe acrobat ) to do this.
  23. I only got blown out once soo far today with the new allocations. 389.8 mg for MC. It should be fine with 1 gig of memory. I had friday off. My boat was sinking at the marina. A hell week. I might start looking at a reload of MC. Thanks to all.
  24. Chris, I set database 2500000 kb and toopath alocation is 125000. So far its OK. Thanks
