I hope you, your families and friends will all be safe through this ordeal. I hope the weather cooperates very soon, and if you run as far north as BC you are welcome to say with me.
Good luck all
My fingers are crossed
Eric
Good morning all.
Thanks for your help guy's! Christian Raebild, the number of decimals in the NCI file was the problem! That one has been bugging me for a long time now, it'll be so nice to have it proper.
Hope you have a good weekend! I'll be here working
Thanks again.
Eric

Ok Bucket
I put an example of my problem on the FTP site in the mc9 file named "60 DEG ROTARY.MC9"
This it how my mpmaster posted the A move:
N14 G00 G90 G54 X-.3125 Y-.875 A-59.999 S15000 M03
Thanks for your time
Eric
Eric braces for a verbal lashing...hehe
First off I am a registered user so please do not bite me .
I am getting a little picky here but I am using the mpmaster post on my haas VF2 with the 4th axis. It is working well but for some reason it adds .001 deg to all of the A moves?
eg. A-60. posts as A-59.999
This is not a big problem I know but I am wondering if someone may know how to fix this?
Thank you
Eric

hi guys
I have been trying to modify my mpmaster post for the same thing. I would like the default value for "lock on first WCS" set to 1 in the post's misc. values? This way I could turn it off without editing my post each time. If I try Dave's way of:
sav_mi9 = mi9
in psof and change to
sav_mi9 = 1
The misc. value in the parameters still shows 0 but when I post it is locked and I have no way of turning it off?
What might I be doing wrong?
Thanks
Eric
hmm...gold plated eh?
Maybe I should make some gold plated cribbage boards. LOL ...naa. I think I'll send them out for anodizing then engrave the cards on them should look cool. I might have to learn how to play!
Eric
Hi all
Scary but true it's comming soon already .
I thought I might try and make some crib boards for x-mas gifts this year. If I can find the time to squeeze them in. I am wondering if someone might have a mc file of one they would not mind sharing? Beggers can't be choosers I know...but I was hoping to make one that is in the shape of "29". Any other ideas of things that you might have made for gifts in the past?
Thank you.

If you part is smaller than your face mill you can use a contour toolpath and ramp it. Check the plunge option and the face mill will cut one way then feed down and cut back the oposite direction. Hope this might help.
I know I am hijacking but it is related to the coolant subject. I am interesred in what kind of skimmers you guys use as well? We had one that was flat disk that turned in the coolant then a wiper removed the oil from it. But it removed more coolant than oil. I use Valcool VNT 650 and it has worked well for the miling I do. As long as we keep on top of the trap oil it does not go rancid.
Well thanks.
I guess it is out of my hands.
You are right would have been nice to make it a switchabe option. Oh well such is life.
Only thing to do now is TGIF
Have a great weekend!
Eric
Thanks for the reply Millman.
I have searched the old threads but have not found the answer yet. I am not sure if I follow you? If you use clearance to to jump over obstacles, the drill would come up to that height each time...no? I only want it to jump once.
Hello
I finally have a couple of minutes to spare so I am trying to figure out some previous problems. I have found that when changing from V8 to V9 the edit jump when drilling has changed. When jumping to clear a clamp I usually had to point edit the hole before the clamp and give it a jump height. This worked well in V8 but now what happens in V9 is the tool jumps in and out of the hole I edited? This problem has forced me to make separate toolpaths when I want to clear a clamp...not what I need . Any one know of a way this can be fixed?
Thank you.
Eric
