  1. Excuse my ignorance, but if I'm understanding you correctly, I could delete everything out of my "shared mcamx9" folder except the "tools" and "post processors" folder then migrate the "shared mcamx9" folder. Is this correct? Both of the shared mcamx9 and shared mcam2019 folders are in the same location, at C/users/public/public documents/
  2. John, I've been running 2019 for a while and everything is good with exception of my "tools folder" and my "post processors folder" is it possible to migrate only those two folders? I don't want to take the chance of screwing up my config or anything else for that matter.
  3. Is it possible to migrate my "tools" and "post processors" from mcamx9 to mastercam 2019? I've been designing for the past couple of years and havn't needed to make any cnc programs and I noticed that the last couple of times I performed a migration my tools and post processors didn't migrate. I don't have x9 installed on my computer anymore but I have the files backed up onto our network. Is this possible?
  4. My mastercam 2019 has stopped exporting the names of the solids. I wen't back to version 2018 and it's doing the same thing, naming all of the solids in numerical order instead of what I named them. Please help.
  5. Yeah, you da man. I've been using mastercam since version 9 and on days like this I feel like a newby.
  6. Yeah after opening the file using verisurf and saving it, it opened just fine. Took a while but it opened. Yeah I don't care if you send it to CNC.
  7. pullo, Wow, that worked on one of the files. I'm currently trying the one from earlier in the week. This was the very first file I had this happen to. Hopefully it will open.
  8. in my cinfig file under start/exit is inch metric radio buttons but it won't let me select the metric one to change it.
  9. pullo, stupid question, but how do I change to metric? Yes I also save my files in this way. That way I always have extra backups. But they wouldn't open either.
  10. pullo, thanks for confirmation. Maybe there's something wrong with my mastercam 2019 install. gcode, I don't have any toolpaths in the file. I'm using mastercam for designing injection molds.
  11. You da man alright. You saved me an extreme amount of work. I just hope someone jumps in and tells me what's going on with my mastercam 2019 not wanting to open these files. So frustrating. Thanks so much for the help.
  12. pullo, Verisurf saved my bacon, worked like a charm. I'm going to email you the file to see if your install of mastercam 2019 will open it. I really want to find out why this keeps happening. My boss is really upset. Thanks, Tim
  13. pullo, I don't have the verisurf software. Not sure where to begin on that. Also, can I email you the file, or could you point me in the right direction for a file sharing site. Does the ftp site still exist on here? Would that work?
  14. I have several mastercam 2019 files that will no longer open in mastercam 2019. They just sit there for ever trying to open. I was going to attach one of them on here to see if anyone else could open it but it's to big to attach. Any suggestions? I've lost about a day and a half of work. The backup files and the files that are backed up every night onto our network wont open either. This is very frustrating. Tim
  15. Just noticed I'm almost on 500 posts.
  16. Yeah, it opened great. Thanks again
  17. Anyone want to convert a catia file for me. I prefer mastercam files or parasolids. Thanks, Tim
