  1. I'm glad someone cares. I only deleted it because I couldn't uninstall it. It won't show up in the list of programs to uninstall. I reinstalled X3 so I could try uninstalling it and it still doesn't show up in the add/remove programs list. I downloaded Iobit and tried it but doesn't show up there either. Oh well. I guess I will just leave it.
  2. Brandon, I'm pretty sure it still uses the set point software but I will have to do some research on how to uninstall and reinstall it. Thanks for the response. Tim
  3. I have a Logitech g400 mouse which I have the buttons next my thumb programed for alt and enter. Every time I restart the computer there's a windows page that opens that says Logitech. I close it but now the customized buttons won't work in mastercam. I have to click on the Logitech mouse icon and when I hear the bing bong sound they will start working. Any ideas? Couldn't find anything on line or here on the forum. Thanks, Tim
  4. Well my reseller had me unregister and reregister my mcview.dll file and that didn't solve the issue. I reinstalled X3 so I could uninstall it, but it's still not in my add/remove programs list. This is what I believe caused the problem in the first place, because I just deleted it instead of uninstalling it. By the way my reseller now told me that he'd just leave it for now. It's not trying to download x3 now but I would like to remove it. Oh well, I guess it's not eating to much.
  5. well I deleted the files listed above and windows is still trying to install X3 at restart. I give up! Time for a "go to meeting with my reseller". Thanks for the help though. I think we gave it a valiant effort.
  6. Ok, I deleted every mcamx3 and mcamx4 folder in the registry and it's still trying to configure x3 when I restart the computer. There are some folders under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT which are, .emcx, .emcx5, .mcx, .mcx-5. should I delete these as well? I should mention that there are two other files called .emcx6 and mcx-6. but I don't think I want to delete those. lol
  7. Newbie, how do I go into the registry, thru the ccleaner and then click on registry? JMC, I did a complete registry fix and it didn't help.
  8. I ran the ccleaner and it didn't help. Should I do the registry fix? Will running it mess up the computer. I looked at it and there's a ton of stuff in it for mastercam x.
  9. I have a computer with windows XP and mastercam x6 wire on it. I have remove/deleted mastercam X3 and X4 from the computer and now everytime I restart the computer it tries to configure X3. I had a problem when I installed X6 where it said it couldn't find the disk copy of x3 so I think I put an X3 disk in and then it worked but I can't remember for sure. I'm pretty sure I did a stand alone install because we completely started over with a new post and new power libraries. How do I get it to quit configuring X3 at start up? TIA, Tim
  10. never mind. I typed it in and hit enter and it worked. Thanks anyway.
  11. I can't see my mastercam.mtb file when trying to reload it thru mastercam. If I look at the properties of the mastercam.mtb file in windows It's not "hidden". Please help.
  12. Del, worked like a charm. Thanks a million, Tim
  13. Ok, I used the leads and told it not to revearse the cuts and that fixed it. I'm gonna try a test piece. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks so much for the help. Tim
  14. Dell, I used by entity but I just noticed that when it leads out it's gouging the hole. I can't figure out if I should use thread point or leads, and if I use leads what to set them at.
  15. Dell, what shoud I use by entity?
  16. Allan, I set it to 4axis taper and didn't get any errors. Dell I mirred the bottom arc and chained it starting at 180 deg and going counter clockwise then chained the top arc starting at 0 deg going counter clockwise. Will this work. It looks good in mastercam and draws in at the machine good as well.
  17. I put a file on the ftp site named 1401-37 cor side.mcx-6. Were trying to wire a tapered hole in a part using a 4-axis path that the wire actually crosses up inside the piece. were getting an error at the machine called "p1083 u v cir.err". Should we try it with just a 2d contour with taper or can this type of program even be ran. We are running it on a mitsubishi fa-20s. tia, Tim I wrote a 2-d path using taper and didn't get any errors at the machine when we drew it in. Will this work?
  18. Thanks for the quick responses. Sounds like I'm as good as it's gonna get. I have 6 cores. I checked the setting in the multi-thread manager it was set to 4 so I changed it to 6. I didn't see a difference when regenerating a single toolpath or even 3 toolpaths, but I would think it will help if I select several toolpaths to regen. Thanks again, Tim
  19. I'm running X7 MU1 with a 64 bit dell precision T3500 and a Xeon processor. Whenever a highspeed toolpath is regenerating my task manager only shows about 16 to 17 percent cpu usage. While regenerating 3 toolpaths it uses 50% of the cpu. I have my memory buffering set to 90% and I have tried changing it to 50, 100, and 5% but the cup usage doesn't change. What can I do to speed up the regeneration times. It takes way to long to regen a toolpath (in my opinion). I did a search for this and couldn't find what I'm looking for. Thanks, Tim
  20. If I select create thread point it won't let me window the arcs. If I select create point small arcs I can window the arcs but I can't change the point to thread point before windowing the arcs.
  21. Does anyone know how to create a thread point in the center of a bunch of different size arcs by window. It takes to long to select each individual arc. I can create regular points in the center by create point small arcs but then how do I change all of them to thread points. If I analyze by window the points and edit them to thread points only 1 of them changes.
  22. Well I googled the arc error we were having. Turns out it was a combination. It had to be setup like Del suggested(thanks Del) but the post had to be edited to 5 place decimal as well. The machine is in 5 place so the post had to be also. Evidently the arc code wasn't accurate enough. Thanks for the help.
  23. I unchecked it. the operator is running a program right now so I will have to have him check to see if it will work later. Also, I googled the error and somebody said it's because the post is outputting 4 place decimal and the machine is set to run 5 place decimal. I can't find in the post where to change it to 5 places.
  24. That's the way it was set when I was getting errors. I tried it with every other setting and didn't get errors with, absolute, radius, and signed radius, but they drew a little funny at the machine and I was afraid to try any of them. I thought I would see from you guys how it is suppose to be set.
