  1. Thanks Pete. My search results didn't include that link. I used the xform .stl (which I didn't know existed) and it worked great. Thanks again for your help. Mike
  2. I am having problems comparing my verify to a .stl file in MCX . When I save the .stl file it is in a different relationship (top) as my machined part (New View 9). I locate zero and program the part by creating a WCS that is relative to what I want to machine. MC 9 did not work like this. What am I doing wrong.
  3. OK, I found the bolt circle in the C-hooks. Anyone find the grid?
  4. Good Morning, I'm trying to find the create point, bolt cirle, or grid funtion in X.
  5. Jerome, We have a Dimension machine and we sell rapid prototypes as a service. It's hard to say the cost of a prototype because it depends on the volume of plastic used and the time required to complete the part. If you e-mail me a file I can give you a price quote for your model.
  6. Thanks for all the help guys. I was able to get what I want with too many clicks. I thought there was an easy way I had not seen. I don't understand the WCS rotation of the part.It is OK from top to bottom, but from top to side makes little sense. You want to bank off the same back surface as you rotate the part. Thanks Again. Mike
  7. Thanks C^M, but I can get to the right side but my xy axis is wrong and that's what I want to rotate. I've read some posts that say I can't do what I am trying to do. Mike
  8. I would like to rotate the origin, from the WCS window, about the Z axis 90 degrees. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks, Mike
  9. Just got power back in Plainview,Long Island,N.Y. at about 1:30 this afternoon.
  10. Thanks again Rekd. That's what I do. I'm just trying to see if there was another method.
  11. Rekd, Thanks. Let's say MC is not frozen and is on it's merry way to a 2-3 hr. calculation I want to stop. Is there anyway to interupt the process without using the 'End Task' method and restarting MC?
  12. My computer info; 2.00 GHz P4 Pentium 1 Gig RAM nVidia,Quadro2 Pro Graphics Card Windows XP Pro
  13. Esc key gives me a white screen and the hourglass Ctrl-Alt-Delete gives me info that MC is not responding and I have 100% CPU for the non-responding MasterCam
  14. Hi To All, Does anyone out there know how to stop MasterCams calculation process once it has started. What I mean is sometimes I set up an operation that seems to require more time than I had planned and MC gets into what I call a "Calculation Freeze". I'm not sure if the computer is frozen or thinking. I would like to stop the process and change some of the paremeters of that operation but the only way I can is by closing MC and then reopening it. Is there a simpler way? I have V9.1. Thanks, Mike
  15. Roger, Will there be a patch to correct this in the near future?
  16. The strange thing is I can get the setup sheet right one time and then it comes back to the problem and lists the same tool for each depth. ????????
  17. Good Morning, Does anyone have experience machining Tungsten Alloy W90-Ni6-Cu4? Any info on machinability would be greatly appriciated. Thanks, Mike
  18. Congratulations Rekd, Your life has been changed forever. Mike
  19. Jeff, Explain to your boss that your shop is now up and running using MasterCam. You are proficient in programming with MasterCam and you are going to become faster and more productive the moment you upgrade to level 3. This should far outweigh the small initial savings you will get from a different CAM program. Good Luck. Mike
  20. Chad, You got mail. :cheers:Mike
  21. Thanks for the feedback guys.We have been slow here and I have been looking at the want ads for cnc machists and there is a company out there offering $80K/year for NCL programmers. Also the State University of NY at Farmingdale on Long Island offers a three part specialized course in NCL. I was just curious as to what was the big deal with that program. Thanks again. Mike
