Regarding Digitizing, About 10 yrs ago I used LEmoine Digitizing software to digitize the mould/dies and this software can dizitize, convert digitize file to suface model and also give the toolpath. When I left the last company after that never get chance to use it.
Hi guys,
I have this problem from long time and I don't know what I am missing. When I put all the information in stock set up in lathe, by using "Use Margins" tab and it diplay the stock with no problem but when I have to go back this page for some reasons and open up the "use margin tab" the value which I used earlier in left right margin is not there and every thing for the stock display is like for the begining. So how can I make it to display my last values which I put in right margin and left margin box.
Thanks in advance
I already did last week and just waiting for to get rid of this alarm message. I want to pay my share so they can afford to work hard to improvr the mastercam.
For rh(external) thread, for main spindle must be m03, if tool in top turret, insert facing down,if the lower turret, insert should facing up.
Now for sub spindle, if tool insert facing down in the lower turret, spindle will be on mo4,which I think is wrong for rh thread. I guess I have to give mo3 direction and the tool have insert facing up and in this case I have to use lh holder to get rh thread. I may be wrong but I will find out tomorrow.
thanks
Hi everybody,
I am setting my new Nakamura twin turret, twin chuck. Now my question is, for internal R.H thread,if we using Lh side spindle, rpm must be mo3 to get rh thread. If we use right hand side chuck/spindle and boring bar is to put in lower turrett, what direction of rpm should be for rh thread. So for I know for rh thread rpm must be m03 and according to this you put tool.
Please reply fast, I am stuck now.
thanks
I try the external thread by using revolve cut and could not figure out using swept feature. If any body can show to cut thread by using swept feature?
thanks
MillingMan, I try your way and it work fine too.
Now things get more confusive and if anybody can give more input. what is normal practice? Value in the original position or the value in the transferred positon ?
Terry, I guess you are talking about Hardinge machines but we bought now the Nakamura lathes.
Even hardinge, we have 2 swisstype and we don't have any problem
thanks

Finally we bought two Nakumura WT-150 with LNS bar feed. I hope coming week we will start cutting the part. This lathe with double spindle, two turrett,y axis on the main. Any advice from the people who using the mastercam for programming these or similar machines and Any advice for handling these lathes will be helpful?
These holes have the drill point geom and the bigger hole showing tap dia. So I am revolving the cut and doing each hole. These holes, I don't think can extrude because it have the drill point to show
Thanks, Hardmill for the answer.
In addition I just want to know if there is 50 drilland tap holes than before to cut the solid for 50 holes you have to have 50 pls the drill/tap hole geom and than start cuting one by one picking up the geom or there is fast way to cut the holes?
Hi everybody
I draw a solid body and try to draw drill/tap 8 holes on the face and 12 c-sink holes on the dia.
The way I cut the solid for the holes on the face and dia.,looks to me very lengthy way and there may be some trick if you guys can share.
If you see on the solid manager there are many cut features.
On the face I draw at one place drill and tap curve so i can use for revolved than I x-rotate the geom at 7 more pls. After this I use revolve cut,one drill-tap holes at a time. This give 8 cut features at the solid manager. I did the same on the dia.
Is there way If i cut one drill tap hole at the face and rotate this revolve cut feature at 7 more places instead first bringing the geom at 7 more places and than start revole cut one by one picking the geometry?
Any suggestion will be helpful
thanks
Hi everybody,
I have stl file from the varification from the last operation. Instead of using this stl file for the varifiaction for next operation, I thought I should try this stl file to save as mcx file than merge this file to next operation file and put on some separate level to use as a stock for varification.Main idea was the this stock file will stay with main file instead of keeping the stock file to separate place. Since this is not a solid so it is not picking up as the stock. Now this stl is on the screen even the level where I put in is off. I can not remove this file becuase it is not get selected. So guys is there way I can remove this stl wire frame from the file
Any suggestion will be apprciated.
Thanks
