  5. Hi everybody I am doing 3/4-14 NGT external thread on hor machine by thread milling. With perpendicular enter check tool is entering at 90deg position and some reason I want the tool to enter fr0m 0deg or 180 deg. I could not see the option to change the entry point and also try just by rotating the point without luck. Any thought will be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I also never draw the dotted line and never have the problem in the custom tool

  13. Thanks for lot of informations. If anybody can tell me this: Is it possible when we use create curve on all edges of surface or solid, only get the output in lines and arcs not to have any spline? Thanks in advance

  15. HI everybody If anybody work on this material Ferralium-255(CR,NI,MO alloy) If so, how is the machinability of this material? Thanks
  16. Thanks David and Mr. Surface, both ways I never thought of, for doing this type of feature. I always did revolve cut so far. Only thing for chmf and draft option is I have to calculate the distance and my case dia. .513 is given as the top dia of csink. There is no problem to calculate the distance but may be there is still better route out there. Thanks
  17. Hi everybody I am drawing some solid model and in this one feature is .266 dia hole through and 82 deg c-sink on one end. I don't want to do by cut revolve the contour. What are the other technique except the revolve option when there is already hole in the solid and you want to give only 82 deg c-sink on one end. I was trying Cone primitive but some reason it get drawn only in top view and I want to draw in right side c-plane. Any thought. Thanks
  18. Colin Thanks for the help. Create curve slice work good if the section view is straight and you can select the plane in x,y,zor by line, point etc. But if the section is following the zig-zag cut and if I draw the zig-zag line than I can not select this line as when we selecting the plane option and if select the line it select the segment of the line, not the complete zig zag line where we need to cut section. I hope I made it clear what I mean. Even if I go for trim solid way, it will not select the line which is made of multiple zig-zag segments. Any thought. Thanks
  19. Hi everybody I have just drawn the solid model from the hardrcopy. In the hard copy there are different cross section views are shown. Is it possible to cut he crosection at verious section on the model so I can varify with the hard copy? Any thought will be helpful thanks

  23. I looked in the sample examples of mastercam, i where the letter toolpathe is projected on the surface. I am trying to give more depth to letter machining by changing the incremental depth value from 0 to -.01 but when I varify the projected toolpath it should shows .01 more deeper letter but it stay the same place. So where we can change the depth when we using the projected toolpath. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  24. HI everybody I am trying to uderstand the rough project toolpath(nci, curve and point). I could not undestand how it work and where I can use this? If I have to use 2d nci file to project on to the surface to get the toolpath than why not I select the surface and give the toolpath straight from there.I am missing some thing and If any body can expalin. thanks
