  1. Pay special attention to the retract on other areas of the part. Check transition and retract motion for gouge may be needed to be checked in the gap settings. Using the containment boudaries off the part the way you have it works well. I can't verify with this model because i get a waterfall effect when using the solid as a stock. 2. In gap settings change to distance 5" Using follow surface. Keeps tool in cut.
  3. Should I send every crash report or just the first one.(This one file crashes reg.) (i mean one for every crash incident , not the muliple crash report windows that appear.) Can i view the files that are sent to cnc? Is the mutiple crash report windows for the same problem? Are these crash reports helpful to cnc or sending the file in a email better?
  4. Use SP1 for verify. MR1 verify is broke, but a fix is in the works. A search on this subject will give you the details.
  5. Side by Side allways. I have 9.1 still, just in case ....j/k
  6. Might be a bug, i don't know. In MR1 open a file. Make achange to the file File/open another file. Click yes to save file. In the "save file" window, the highlighted file name is not the same as the 1st.It is the name of the 2nd file i'm trying to open. I've done this several times, same result. Sp1 does not do this.
  7. Yes, got this e-mail today. One day response quote: Hi Jeff, Thanks for the file. This file is now being correctly represented in Verify (please see the attached image). We are currently working on a patch. Your help is very much appreciated. --- Christopher Bell Quality Control Engineer CNC Software Thanks chris for the quick response.
  8. Kinda off topic but, Is there a way we can have MC save the stl files to the project folder by using the project manager? I don't see it in there.Maybe add as a enhancement if we can't do it already.
  9. Sure, One was a simple box as a test.It was created in mr1. I drilled a hole then tried to rotate it. When i rotated i got the bad polygon error.I clicked "as is", then the hole was missing. I can xform translate. It only seems to be xform rotate thats the problem. I have another stl that i created in sp1 that does the same thing.Loss of detail and long load times. I will send you that stl and the mcx file.
  10. Something changed with mr1.I can't xform rotate stl's at all.Load times for stl are alot slower. I'm getting all sorts of errors. Got one last night to the effect that you cannot use turbo in 3rd axis. All i did was rotate the toolplane to verify since i cant x form rotate the stl. It would not let me use turbo, i had to increase the moves /steps. I have to say , for me, mr1 is a net gain but problems added to a area that was working fine.
  11. yes,The detail is lost in the .stl file when i choose "as is" A simple box or complex stl, same thing. Lost of detail and long load times I sent it to my reseller. He is forwarding it to cnc.
  12. Happens on all .stl files i xform. Any Ideas? When i fix the .stl is incomplete
  13. 430 MB .....i hope it's real. Wont know untill 1 hr 20 min.

  15. Thanks Paul, that's exactly what i was looking for. It locks out the toolpath, looks like to me, and posts the toolpath i was looking for. Pocket facing would would be great for multiple depth cuts. Thanks to all for the help.Great forum.
  16. I believe you, but i can not get it to change my toolpath direction by mirroring the geometry. I mirrored the geometry using two entries on the vertical legs. Just to be clear this is the path i trying to get in the facing toolpath.I appreciate the help.
  17. Hmmm I mirrored the toolpath in y and x. Rotated the geometry and change all the suggestions above. If it's just me , i apologize.I'm not seeing how to reverse a chain in this toolpath. I'll send it in to cnc as a enhancement request. If any body uses a different method ,i'm all ears.
  18. I uploaded to the ftp site under mcx2 folder. o.mcx This is the direction i get when i change to 180deg. I still can't get it to climb mill. The ajax cutter i'm using needs a climb cut.
  19. Yeah it's a facing toolpath. I tried a chain point in front of the facing chain. It gives me a error. I've tried changing 180 deg on the roughing angle. That does'nt work, still does not climb. I've tried the two things change side and reverse chain.no dice. I really dont want to create a pocket toolpath. I do a high volume of simple programs which uses this type of toolpath.Facing to cleanup. I guess i could import the operation with geometry and edit the geometry, for the different sizes, but i was hoping for a quick reverse chain. Thanks
  20. Is there a way to reverse the chain. on a zig-zag cutting method. I would like to keep the tool down and climb mill. I've tried reverse chain and change side. This is the toolpath i get.
  21. Thanks, i was thinking that, but i wasn't sure. Does any body use transform toolpath for simple hex? Rotate type and toolplane method. It seems to be alot faster. You don't have to rotate/save different views.
  22. Why do i get this error when i have multiple views using the same work offset? Am i doing something "wrong"? The code is correct.
  23. We just upgraded to xp from win2k yesterday. There is no noticable difference in performance but there is alot of headaches with other issues. Networking and printing are common ones. One of the things you will notice is that the colors are cartoonish. This takes awhile to get use to. I turned off those useless effects that will actualy slow down you computer. If it ain't broke...
  24. got it thank you code: N16 G82 G98 Z-.177 R.1 P900 F3.
