  1. Mold100, i tried that, i don't want to delete my config file, cuz it's alot of work creating it. Keep trying, Please..
  2. It is a new post, and I just tried updating. It still gives me a message, post not found.
  3. I didn't think you would have to from 9.1 to MR0304?
  4. cadist, it already is valid. I just checked it.
  5. I recently upgraded to MR0304. I think it started then.
  6. Hi all, I have an issue on boot up. When I start Mastercam, I get an error saying post not found and it says it is looking for my default post in the C: root directory. I have looked all over in my config and can't find why it's asking me this. Anyone know where i can look to fix it? Thanks in Advance, Lee.
  7. Hello All. I was wondering wether any of you guys and gals had an Idea of what AMD are doing in the future in regards to Processor Speed. I was recently looking at a web site where it listed actual speeds as against actually what the chip is called. There is quite a substantial difference. Any Clues?
  8. Thanks guys, it's working fine......but now when I open a file i get an error message saying that mp.dll not found.????? Any clues
  9. Hey People, I ran the c-hook, and I get an error on opening it. It says " Program entry point not found". Any thoughts? Thanks, Lee.
  10. Is there such a thing? I was reading the previous threads and found no-mention of it. Thanks in Advance, Lee. [ 11-13-2003, 09:40 AM: Message edited by: Lee K. White ]
  11. I don't beleive it is. If so, why does it say on the patches page, that this is the last machining patch for free? It is obvious to me that unless you pay maintenance you are not going to be kept up to date. Lee.
  12. Nice one Dave. Just don't keep us in antiglare goggles for too long. Thanks, Lee.
  13. Paul, Not sure why you are saying we cannot discuss this on the forum. I also think that the price for maintenance should be the same dependant on service required. It should be layed out from CNC just as is new software pricing. I also think that we all got into this software based on the fact that there were no maintenance costs unlike GIBBS. Now it seems that CNC are going the same way. I honestly beleive it is unethical to change the rules of the game, once you have drawn the players onto the feild. Lee. 14. Well Paul, I read every post on that link and by now it seems to be carved in stone. It would appear that CNC want more money out of there product and are probably shying away from increasing the price of the new software to keep new sales up. Once your in however your stuck with buggy software, and if you would like the screw ups fixed, you have to pay. I mentioned in an earlier post of mine about machining on solids. It is quite obvious that most of us are using workarounds when it comes to alot of issues with the software and now we are penalised by this maintenance agreement. I think that if they are going to implement an agreement it should include upgrades as well as updates. Of course the best action would be to be happy that CNC are increasing there customer base every week and therefore there revenue. Maybe they should look at there costs instead of revenue, and pull in the reins a bit. My 2 cents. Lee.
  15. I know, I was wondering why the change in policy? Thanks, Lee. [ 11-10-2003, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: Lee K. White ]
  16. Good Morning Everyone, Just wondered if anyone knew of the policy change that seems to be upon us. It appears that surface machining patches will only be available to maintenance customers. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks, Lee.
  17. The file size is 2.8 MB, and 450 surfaces. I have 512 MB Ram and my allocations are as: 32767 6000 1000 100000 100000 Thanks for your help, Lee.
  18. Hi MayDay, As far as I know the radius is going to depend on the cutter diameter. So, I don't think you have a choice, except to change cutters. Hope this is helpful. Lee.
  19. I'm using a AMD 2600+ Athalon, 512 MB RAM, and a 32MB NVIDIA VIDEO CARD. When Mastercam is crunching the toolpath it is virtually impossible to do anything else with the machine. Is there anything I should do? Is part of my system weak? Thanks in advance, You guys are a huge help. Lee.
  20. Sorry for the delay in replying guys. I really appreciate all your input, and now at least know it's not me, PHEW!!! I will ise surfaces for machining in future until someone fixes the problem. Keep up the good work , and thanks again. Lee.
  21. try squashing the geometry to one z depth, XFORM, SQUASH. Let me know how you make out. Lee.
  22. The job I was working on was a mere 1200 ish surfaces. and yes, when using the solid for machining , mastercam just went right through the part with the tool. When using all surfaces, no problem.????? seems weird to me. Both operations use the same amount of surfaces.
  23. I quite often will pick the whole solid for toolp[ath, but still mastercam messes up. If I use surfaces and select all......No Problem. Seems strange to me that the option is there and it doesn't work properly????
  24. Thanks for all your advice guys. You are right, it would be faster to run 2-d toolpath on this peice. The reason I use 3-d all the time is because most of my stuff will not produce in 2-d. I guess I get stuck in a rut. The other reason I like to run the surface paths is because it is les time sitting here at the pc. I actually run the company here and set the tools on the machine, parts on the machine, etc etc. So the less time i'm actually playing with the mouse the better. I just thought compared to other jobs i've run it takes way longer. On another topic, has anyone ran in to problems machining from solids only? I get a problem very often where mastercam totally ignores some of the surfaces of the solid, but, when I create surfaces from the same solid, and machine the surfaces ....... Problem goes away. ????? Bug?? Talk soon, Lee.
