I haven't found a way to make a surface translucent or change the opacity like when using solids. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this with surfaces?

Does anyone have trouble opening up two mastecams at the same time?

We typically have at least two MC's open sometimes 3 or 4, plus internet, explore, excel, etc -
Do you have any other programs running at the same time? How full is your hard drive? These are basic but we have run into similar problems when working on toolpaths. We bought an external hard drive to free up space and extra ram.

Do you plan to draw in 3-D using Mastercam? I've got a lot of experience in 3-D using Inventor. We don't have the 3-D package in Mastercam. We typically use surfaces. I'm not sure how good the Mastercam 3-D capabilities are since I've never used them. I've had good luck taking evening CAD courses at the local technical school.
