I'm running mcamx(msr2)With a fadal 6535 vertical machining center. The problem I'm having is when I set my cutter comp to wear setting it seems to work on dia, but when I try to contour a line it does not seem to work.
Any suggestions

I'm having problems programming, Haas tool room lathe with mastercam x. I'm using the generic Fanuc post. For the most part it seems to work, but can anyone tell me how to take out the g28 move to home command before each tool change. The other question is do I have to set the g54 position to the part or not. The current operator says he never set the off sets he only sets the tool length and x offset to each tool. But I noticed in the control the fixture offsets, just like the vertical mills that I am used to. Is there a better post that I should be using???????
Thanks,
Seth
I've assigned an offset to each tool path including the first one. Still no luck, I wonder why it will change with a tool change in-between each offset
I've noticed that if I change tools it will post the offset. But if I use the same tool and change the offset, as to duplicate a part it will not post the change.
It seems that whatever I change the misc value to under interger 1 to changes the fixture offset number. But only on the first line of code it wont change each tool path for instance.

Not sure why it wont post like it should.
I'm trying to set my fixture offsets in mastercamx Msr2, but for some reason if I post the entire program the only fixture offset call out am at the beginning off the program e01. If I post each tool path separately then the offset changes to what I want. I'm running a fadal format1 I'm sure what post I'm using the company had it when I got here. I set my tool off sets under planes. Also I was wondering if the misc button has anything to do with it.....
Thanks,
Seth
I'm not sure what you mean by lead in. G41 means cutter comp left, is the G41D3 using cutter comp left and offset 3 in the controller? I'm not really sure how that works. Do i need the g41 or could i turn the comp totally off in mastercamx. Then set the tool dia in the controller????????????
The only call out I see is g41, that’s with comp in computer and with comp in controller.

I was wondering if someone could lead me in the right direction, I'm trying to use cutter dia in the control (32mp controller) to allow the operators to control stock. It seems no matter what I change the dia. to it cuts the same. I’ve tried turning the cutter comp in mastercamx msr2 to controller and that didn’t work either. Any tips???????
thanks
Here's the question. Is there a way to program your fixture offsets in mastercamx. (For a fadal being e01,e02 ect. and then also haas g54, g55ect.)It seems that I always have to program them after I post the NC file.
thanks
I was just wondering is someone could answer a question. I'm trying to send a machine to its home position between tool changes because of tool clearance on the tool change. I'm running a fadal 16x20 using fadal format one. Is there a g code command to send to the machine home position or possibly a m command?
Thanks,
seth
