Ok so here's another qustion I've been manually turn it on with putting the g168 p3 in the program how do i know when it's on or off. Will it say its an active gcode on the controller. I have a new vm 3.
I just ad it as a manual entry before the tool path and the controller picks it up. Is there a command to cancel this setting also that I should post after the path? I'm very new to this setting.
Thanks
I was just wondering if there was a way to change the post so I can post a g168 p1 to every surface rough path and a g 168 p3 too all my finish paths. I guess this would also include the high speed tool paths. This is for a vm 3 machine parameter.
Thanks,
I thought about buying some books myself. Does anyone have books that they don’t want anymore or are these the books you just keep around incase something comes up......
You'll have to break the chain just above where the remaining stock is. Change the color so you can chain from that point down and back out to the point on the other side. This would be another path. You can either finish with multiple paths, or rough.....
Well never........It’s less than a year old....at least the 6535 is..... I guess I should have mentioned that. I've heard that breaking the circle up into points is suppose to work better, but no luck with that one. Is there a tolerance somewhere that I could tighten up a bit........
Ok the egg shaped bore question. It seems that when ever I mill bore a hole using master cam and a fadal 6535 and also 1620 I get an egg shaped bore. I understand that this is pretty standard but I would think that .0005 should be the worst that it gets. For me that is not the case. I'm getting .001 to almost .002 sometimes. I'm leaving about .007 for my finish cutter and I’m making 2 passes @ zero. Is there a trick to holding better numbers than what I’m getting......
Thanks
Seth
I'm pretty new to the surface creation of mastercam so here's a newbe ? for ya.
I created a solid model which is a dia with a fillet on the top of the edge. Then I created a surface from that model. The solid looks good but the surface has a bunch of flats around the dia is there some type of filter or tolerances that I adjust to follow the solid model better....
Thanks
Seth
I'm having the oppsite problem i want to prestage my tools. on a vm3 but it does not seem to work. I'm using the generic haas 4 post with x2. When i look in my machine difintion manager it says no indexing prestage tools is this correct. I've even tryed to change the o to a 1 in my post under prestage tools setting.....
