Hey guys,
This may be a dumb question but I wanted to be sure.
I'm currently running X2-MR2 in parallel with X2. Can I unistall and remove X2 without it affecting X2-MR2? I'd like to have the extra 4G of space.
Thanks in advance,
Josh

I use CAMplete. . Works every time. In my best Homer Simpson voice... DOH!
In-House has fixed the issue and we are testing the post out today. HUGE thanks to Ivan @ IH for the quick response and help.
It's cool to have a resource like IH for post issues but the only thing I learned for this is to email IH for help. I have no idea "how" to fix this issue only that it was fixed. Oh well... Ignorance is bliss!
Thanks Guys,
Josh
Ok here's what In-House and I came up with...
mi4 = rotation bias
I changed that to bias negative output... nothing
I next tried to change the axis settings in the machine def but no output changes with any def changes???
It seems as if the machine defs are not working... am I doing something wrong?
The code is good but the secondary axis is away from the operator which is "scary" thus the reason for the thread.
Anybody got any ideas?
Hey guys,
I'm using In-House's DMU_P_TRUNNION_TNC.pst for X2-MR2 on a Hermle C600u with a TNC430i control.
The post needed some tweaking for the 430i (post was great for a 530i but some of the code is different) which is no big deal but I'm stuck. Is there a switch or setting that can prefer a negative tilt with the A axis (secondary)? I don't know how In-House sets the rotation parameters... I'm an old school V9 MPMaster post guy so their post looks like Greek to me! It looks like most of their parameters are in the binary file so I'm lost... HELP?!?!
Thanks in advance,
Josh

I would look at a vendor managed system We have the Kennametal Tool Boss...
Each technician scans his badge, types in the POR (Prototype Order Request), and selects the item. The cost of the tool is charged against the IO for the POR. Kennametal lets you put almost anything in the thing too... batteries, floppy disks, scotchbrite, etc.
I asked them to refrigerate one drawer so we could put beer in it... they didn't bite
HTH

Hey guys,
A customer has asked us to Grind Shafts made of 309 Stainless steel. Has anyone done this? Our grinding experience is mostly with carbon steel.
What type of wheel to use?
DOC?
Coolant type?
General process info?
ETC.
Thanks in advance!

boss's thought is... That's all you had to say
I'm glad all of the bosses and the "smart people" of our companies get to make all of these important decisions
Just got a 30 day Eval on a Heidenhain TNC 530i Trunion post for our Hermle and I am amazed!
I used to think I could hold my own with most pps but getting this post has been very humbling. The logic and the use of ALL of the Heidenhain's sophisticated cycles is simply amazing. This post is as good as bought... just waiting on a PO from purchasing.
You guys are great and keep up the good work!
