  1. Doesn't seem like your fix applies since I'm not accessing Mastercam anywhere else. Besides, this is not an acceptable fix for a Mastercam app problem. The app programmers need to fix this. This is not the only instance or where things are mysteriously changing or not getting updated.
  2. Mastercam is open on my computer. (it's usually always stays open). I accessed Solidworks thru RDP.
  3. I launched Windows RDP to access another app on another computer. When I was finished & exiting RDP, the X2 MR2 configuration setting changed, specifically the Auto Highlight became unchecked. Who knows what else happened. Mastercam should not allow another app to make changes !
  4. I'm glad you were. It helped me.
  5. ...wait a minute. For the heck of it I clicked "Set to Post Values" & "Set to Op Defualts." Nothing changed in that window but when I reposted, everything was OK. Looks like X2 MR2 does not refresh/reload the new settings for the Misc Values window when changing posts (which I did earlier, from the default Mastercam post to my post). Thanks
  6. hmm. The default prompts are all normal & all fields are 0.
  7. ... and also, my G90 G56 line has the G56 missing on every one. Started today the same time the above started.
  8. I also just started getting this. I've been using this post for over 2 years & it's never done this. Now, today, it started. No one changed the post because no one here knows how except me. Why is Mastercam changing things automatically?
  9. Thread milling in X2 MR2 doesn't work for me. It always does half of the hole, never a 360° G2 or G3 rotation, except when Linearize Helix is checked. But this is useless for use. Anyone else get this?
  10. Also the level manager never remembers the positions of the column positions. I have to keep resetting them so I can read whats in the fields... eeeeeeeeeeevery tiiiiiiiiiiime.
  11. On any file I open or start fresh. It will do it randomley. Also forgot to mention that X2 MR2 does not remember Operations Manager position or dock/undock state. It will always open it in the undocked state, in the same screen position, regardless.
  12. X2 MR2 crashes when clicking in the Operations Manager. I have a dual monitor set up. I usually have the text editor in the left monitor with X2 MR2 on the right monitor but the Op Manager is always on the right side of the left monitor wether docked or undocked. If you just click into it to activate it, it will crash at random times. The error report window pops up but that crashes when you click send. Useless.
  13. Oop, I mean "it's"... but at least it didn't crash.
  14. Regardles, xxxx's poor error handling. The application programmers need to fix this. It should not crash for whatever reason especially for writing to a file in another folder. Many, many apps can do this without crashing.
  15. Ok I found it. Still can't get it to remember the posotion so the next time it opens where it was left off.
  16. Nothing in the registry for screen position?
  17. How can I get Mastercam to boot up on the 2nd monitor? I'm tired of dragging it over ever time I start it.
  18. We have a Trotec laser engraver X=26" x Y=17". It has an option for a rotary device (which we don't have). It's a CO² laser & doesn't put a mark on non-ferrous metals. On other metals it barely works. We use it for plastics of all types. It can be used with Autocad or Corel Draw type of software. Probably others too because once your file is made, you just literally PRINT to the laser & the print driver app opens to select other details. Check out the website. It's not that accurate. It loses .001" for every inch away from machine zero.
  19. OK, it worked when I got rid of the tilt axis on the rotary table. I did not get the error. This is when the Rotation Type is set to "3 Axis". Shouldn't it output the C axis when set to "Rotary Axis Positioning" ?
  20. OK I'll try deleting the A (Nutating) axis. BTW, the rotary axis is rotating about the Z. Thanks
  21. Well, it matches the actual X Y Z moves without the rotary axis enabled but with Rotary enabled, the back plotting doesn't convert the position display for rotating. bummer.
  22. looking thru the backplotting, the C axis always rotates in the same CCW direction. It never reverses direction. The X Axis is moving + & -, the Z axis never moves once it plunges into the part & the Y axis seems to be staying on the centerline. I can't really tell because the X Y Z positions don't really match what's going on; must be because the Rotary Axis is enabled.
  23. I don't understand why it would need a 5th axis. Only Z, X & C are needed.
  24. I have my datum Work Plane (Top) as the center of the rotary table (C axis). I select a curving chain which lies on a flat plane (2d). "Rotary Axis" is enabled with "Rotary Axis Positioning". When I use the Mastercam 4 axis VMC post, there is no rotary positioning, but the backplotting shows rotary motion. When I select "3 Axis" under Rotary Axis, it also shows on screen does post rotary positioning but I get an error which reads, "Error - More Than 1 Rotary Axis Detected In Selected Axis Combination - Output May Be Invalid". The C axis is set up as a Nutating axis rotating about the A axis but not needed for this job.
