We have a NTX2000 and see the same issues. We also have a NT3200 sitting right beside the NTX and that machine is way more stable. DMG/Mori refuses to admit that the NTX just aren't as stable as the NT...but when you have 2 machines sitting side by side it's obvious that something is up.

    Hmmmmmm......

Working with my reseller.  They have indicated frustration at having to make the same changes over and over because the base posts at CNC aren't getting updated.

    DingDingDingDingDing alarm bells!

    That right there is inexcusable.

There is absolutely NO excuse for this.

Been using MC for just over a year now. Way back in the last century, I was trained to not use a color that may be used as geometry for the background i.e. Black. Using a Gradient is always best because many items are using black as a display color. I don't care much about the color, I just adapt to the setting as sent. That said, I'm trying a darker background now. Not sure how I'll like it yet.

For me....black is the best because of eye strain. I'd be in front of the box for 12>15 hr days, back in the day.

And mornings/evenings were the best for my eyes - lights off in the office and the brightness turned down on the monitor.

    Named user subscriptions

Looks OK, but the devil is in the details

This isn't a good deal if you have more than 2 people using a single network license

...and what if they leave etc etc...

I'd be having a name such as Eng Ineering and Man Ufacturing, or Initials only of the company name.

If they won't accept that, John Doe...

Living in Europe, this is all standard for me.

M10 has a standard pitch of 1.5 mm, M6 has a pitch of 1 mm and M12 has a pitch of 1.75 mm.

If a customer wants a fine pitch thread (standard is coarse) then he or she should define it as M10x1

    The x1 defines the pich.

With you're call out M10-6h, the 6h defines the thread class. (6h is the standard thread class)

The link below, gives some information on the metric threads.

  6. I'd be looking at it like Leon said - half the DOC and crank it up.

I don't think the slot is wide enough to peel mill with a 5.5 tool - you may blow the ballscrew (i did one a few years ago).

Hydraulic holders on long (relative) extensions - IME can induce vibration...

One of those big grunfos pumps. Sometimes the m8 pump is smaller

True - but the fact that OP wanted the pump to run with doors open, I assumed he's talking wash gun, so I would have thought a M08 pump would be more than adequate.

If he's talking of rigging up a wash down washdown system...then bigger is best IME.

  8. Is there a cutout/cover/half shear in the tank to add another pump?

If so, is it the same size and adjacent to another pump that has a lot of power (M08 example)?

If yes, i'd duplicate that pump as the pressure/flow/frame size and also the depth of the pump, will be suitable for your tank.

The plate on the side should say make/model/frame size/flow etc - then either duplicate it exactly or search a known manufacturer with the same technical details.

Yes, however emuge has their own, which achieves the same function, with just a slightly different thread profile.

Not being an azz...but as you state it's a different thread profile.

As the spiralock are designed to do just that - lock, the thread angle is paramount for their locking data.

If you're the design authority or using this for in-house fixturing etc, no biggie. If it's for a customer product...IMHO you have to be a brave person to deviate like this...

  10. Spriralock form is not uniform flank angle though? It has the 30degree kick making one side of the V different to the other?

So isn't it proprietary so only the Spiralock manufacturer taps/gauges etc are available from them?

  11. So that's more a combination/revamped Levels manager then?

And while it's being changed (LoL) please add the ability to "lock" a level like Autocad can so geometry etc - anything on that level - cannot be accidentally moved or deleted (enhancement request already submitted when X7 was released)...

You'd want to attach and unnattach to the operation manager tab I think.

The trouble with that...is you either have a complete new tab, then it's click to activate...or append the view manager...

Either way it's more bloody clicks...because you're probably in the OPS manager and then click to select the correct tab and click again to get what you want.

Where at the bottom, one click to access?

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......have a modified interface where you can customize the keyboard and type something like "VS" and up comes the viewsheets dialogue box.

Oh that WOULD be sweet

Stupid nonsense ALT TAB blah blah windowze standard useless interface...and the clickety clickety click click click...

    :D

The viewsheets would exist in a tree view like the operations manager, very fast vertical scrolling.

    I never understood viewsheets..

The option to leave the viewsheets where they are (at the bottom) but have a vertical scrolling "up" the screen would be my vote.

But for Ronaldos type of work with many many viewsheet requirements, there'd have to be some sort of folder or master viewsheet at the bottom, and then clicking on that would open up the vertical fly-out with all other viewsheets (related to that "folder") within it.

    In my head anyway...:fun:

Exactly I can have 50 view sheets in a file now. I really wish we had a better way than the stupid bottom of the graphics area to go between them. I have asked repeatably to have a view sheet manager to no avail. Maybe by 2030 we will see one. :coffee:

Glad to see you've seen the light with them Ron :hrhr:

You're one of the <1% regarding the complexity of your parts you work on - for us mere mortals, they are fantastic for simple 3ax side 1 (flip) side 2 parts, and rotary/Hori parts where we can set 1 view sheet per plane/set-up.

For what you're doing, it would be a good enhancement to be able to have a "folder" on the bottom bar - where you can name that folder (for instance OP1 G54) and then have as many flyouts of your view sheets within it.

Or i guess it could be built into the planes manager...another click though to access...
