Thanks guys! i uninstalled everyhing and am downloading x2mr2sp1web and will load that. I finally talked the owner into getting me a new computer its a dell precision t5400 with a quadro xeon processor and 4 gig ram 2 quadro fx 570 vid cards and a bunch of otherstuff with a 24 inch monitor, i am trying for a second 24inch as well anyway thank you

I just got a new computer and have to re load mastercam, i have the discfor x2 and then loaded x2mr1 but when i go to load x2mr2 sp1 it wont let me and tells me i need to load x2mr2 first, well it does not seem to be on the web site or it is but is jumbled with all the other stuff. please guide me someone

I am running Vortex bits exclusivly on my Thermwoos 3 -axis. try their viper or tornado c3 and 4 flute compression bits, they cost a little more but last a long,long time and I am cuttin at 18000rmp at 1200 in per.

how do i open the mastercam editor while mastercam is open? z shift is the thickness of my part

I have a question; I posted a file and i need to change the z shift. Is there any way to open the editor and do this manually? will changing it in the editor change the setting throghout the program. Like an idiot I did not save the mcx file with all of my work, i would have to go back and re do everything to post it again. I can open the nc file in notepad,but am unsure just changing the z shift in the begining will be good for the rest of the program.. HELP PLEASE

I have a Gateway??? 1st gen pentium 4 Quadro FX 570 2 gig of Ram xp pro,x2 mrs sp1. I have talked the owner into buying a dell precision workstation or the gateway equvelant,he is a gateway guy.going for the quad xeon but what is better a higher end quadro card or dual sli?

ok guys, I have another question. When you verify a part in Turbo and then look at it from different angles the results seem choppy and not as fluid, but when you verify it as it cuts it out it seems like you can manipulate any way you would like with no problem at all. what are the advantages and disadvantages of turbo v/s regular verify? also is it normal for a part to verify for over an hour? I am getting into more complex parts rhan I was doing in the early stages of programming ,others seemed to take seconds to a couple of min. Does the processor have alot to do with this?

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn the bounding box off after you create it. I like to use it to orient my part but when i get into serious toolpathing iI would like it to dissapear without having to manually erase it.

I have to say it but I really love the way vista runs Mastercam. I have heard all the complaints about vista but cant seem to run into any poroblems myself.

Ok this is starting to drive me crazy. How do you turn this off. It used to be handy when someone from my CAD department would change somthing but it seems to want to change everything I have on My Mem Stick Anyone know how to turn it off or modify it?

They offer the whole Art program for free. I guess CNC must have somthing to do with S.T for them to give it away

I am pretty much a rookie but would it be easier to extrude it as a surface and then alter it? I have found that on some jobs surfaces are easier to manipulate than a solid??

I have used it alot.I took the week long crash course at my resellr then signed up for the year of streaming teacher and it really helps alot. I have found that this forum has probally taught me more than anything else, other than constantly trying thing out, if one tool path works i usually try all the others just to see how they work. If you get stuck just post your question and you will have so many people helping you in an instant .It is awsome Baby

I am using create arc 2 points for the curve. i select the origin first then use fast point to enter the distance then I input the radius i need. How is the translate different
