  1. Maybe someone can help me on this. This is a mould for Architectural Cast stone, I drew a sectional view of the mould and the Radius it needed to be and used the create swept surface to make the part. The trouble lies in the start of the part. I start my drawing from the origin ,and that point is square, where the part ends the radial line is present on the end, i need it to be the same on both ends. anyone have an idea. J ford and Kannon showed me how to do the sweep a month ago so help . Please [/img]
  2. do you want to copy parts of the drawing or the whole drawing itself????

  6. I have been researching this for a while. I have a Ge Force 6200 at home with a pent 4 and 1 gig of ram and I have no problems, it is actually very fast, at work I have the Quadro fx 570 with 2 gig of ram and when I verify on turbo the view is choppy or hesitant when I scroll in or out? I also am able to process faster at home than work . I dont understand why the Quadro was 900.00 more than the 6200. Crazy eh?

  8. I spent about 6 months playing with Mastercam before I took the training at my reseller, The training they gave me was great, the only pronlem was the owner of my company came and put the class of 4 people behind because he did not have a clue. after 6 more months I paid my reseller to send a tech out to teach at my facility and we tailored the class to what we needed based on our way of production, this helped alot! Along with streaming teacher, practice and this forum I have become much better and are learning every day. you need to take a class, local coleges are now offering Mastercam classes.

  11. quote: would be very interested to know how you do that! (assuming that you are talking about the mouse cursor crosshairs, and not the system origin (F9) lines). The screen would be settings, conf, graphics backround color. the other was for the origin.

  20. Streaming teacher will give you the basics, there is also the getting started guide, not the one they gave you when you bought it but the one in the documentation file in explorer. I took a 2 week class where i bought my CNC machine and that helped alot, playing around for countless hours has helped the most
  21. It is hard to teach the old dogs new tricks, not that they cant learn but some people just fear change,if it work dont fix kind of guys, not me I always want the newest thing out there. I learned on X and I love X2 and cant wait for X3 and so on. i guess some companies dont opt for the maint. contract but I do give me more. I must say I love Mastercam since I opened the box. It has been challenging and frustrating but people here in the forum have been great
  22. Buy another seat, I hate sharing at work
