  1. Jeff, Do you mean a thread shaped like the grooves on a ballscrew? I don't think that MC will be able to do that with a .031rad tool. You may need to use a .5rad tool. Or if you have a c-axis with live tooling it could be done using a ballnose endmill.
  2. Andy, Don't worry about it. I've done the same thing myself. I'm just glad I could help. [ 08-23-2002, 10:24 PM: Message edited by: roy g. biv ]
  3. Andy, When you exit the tool editor after changing the nose radius, do you get a dialog box that says "Changing this tool wil update your operations and change speeds and feeds"? This should come up after changing any of the tool geometry. If not check your operation to see if it needs to be regened. good luck, paul
  4. Andy, Try this: From Operations manager go to tool editior. Change the corner radius from the drop down bar on the insret geometry tab. After doing that chick on the "draw tool" button. You will now see you tool drawn for you on the screen. There should be 2 or 3 red circles, Click on the analyze button and measure one of the red circles. it's radius should be the same as defined in insert geometry. If that doesn't work we'll try something else.
  5. E-mail me your mc8's [email protected], and I will see if I can help.
  6. As the saying goes: You're only as good as your last post. I guess I need to break out my copy of postcount++
  7. cadcam, Is that the Lian-Li case? It looks great. For some really cool case mod stuffs check here
  8. In V10 I want a toolbar that will torture engineers when they ask me questions like: "Why can't that machine put a square corner in that pocket? " or "You can't drill that from the bottom?" or "I can draw it, why can't you make it?" or "That's not how... sorry got a little carried away
  9. I don't think Matrox wanted to get in trouble for showing UT2K3 screencaps like everyone else did. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At $600 CDN ($400 USD), it may seem pricey but if it delivers on its promises, it'll be a better bargain than any GeForce 4 Ti4600 card out now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just think what the 256MB version will cost.
  10. That seems a little extreme that you would get fired for recieving spam. By definition spam is UNWANTED mail. As far as your IT guys, I'd like to see how much spam they get in one day.
  11. Parhelia will be available June 30,Here is the full PR. and some screen shots.
  12. What type of drill will you be using? Cobalt, carbide, inserted carbide?
  13. Things are pertty slow around here also. I know of 2 shops closing this month because things are so slow.
  14. quote: just north of ft worth (20 miles), the mid-range house if probably 100K to 150K (probably 2000 sq. ft.) (unless you want to live in south lake, then they are 350K). goodpay is around 25 and hour if you can get into a large company but the small shops only pay about 16 to 18 an hour and have zero bennies. the only union shops are defense contractors and we stay away from them unless we just want to be a production machinist who enjoys gettinglaid off every couple of years just for kicks. gas, right now is 1.35 per gallon for regular un-leaded. milk is 1.89 per gallon and bread is a dollar a loaf. it's already 95F about 2:00 in the afternoon unless it rains then it's 95 degress and the air is so thik you can swinm throuhg it. the local school systems are decent as long as you don't go to east or downtown ft. worth and by all means stay away from dallas school systems. oh yea, property tax on a 100K house is about $2500.00 per year. not bad. Well what do you know, there are at least two of us here from cowtown. You forgot the mosquitos that require FAA identification around here. I've been laid off twice in the last 3 years, from a small company and a large company. The jobs I have interviewed for paid between $22 and $35 per hour. And we have no state income taxes!!!!!
