  1. Thanks for pointing the right direction. The post as it came wasn't using sgcode on those postblocks, it was using psgcode instead. Just changing them to the suggested *sgcode did the trick. Thanks again.
  2. Is there a switch on the MPMaster to get all G codes to be non modal? e.g.: G0 Z-7.8822 G1 X2.2050 G1 Z-7.9950 G1 X2.2850 G0 Z-7.8761 G1 X2.1650 G1 Z-7.9950 G1 X2.2450 Any ideas? Current post will not output G1 or G0 on the next line if it's already active, yes I know that's fine and I like it that way but I'm at a new place where operators won't run a program as they can't read it if there is no Gcode on each and every line
  3. LMAO uhhhhhh Aren't those the eyebrows seen from the top??? I guess this would be a good example of asking a Kid and an adult what do they see on the same pic. What a man wants uh?? BB LOL
  4. +1 on better verify. How about a couple simple enhancements: Lathe STL Stock & Mill Edge break on 2D contour, kind of like Corner breaks on lathe??? How about 4th Axis profile off centerline without having to use Multiaxis? Pretty simple isn't it?
  5. Thanks to Neurosis. Never seen that symbol either but that pic was pretty clear on it's explanation. May I ask what book you're using? Thanks.
  6. +1 to blank geom. Use it all the time here. Although I think what you were looking for was something like the lock function on Autocad layers, you can always see them but can't pick them nor delete them while it's active.
  7. Use create circle endpoints, then you have the option to either use 2 or 3 points ( on your ribbon bar at top of the working space screen) to define it. HTH
  8. +1 on Bounding box, use it all the time
  9. I don't know if this is what you meant, but here is an idea. HTH CONCAVE RADIAL.MCX-5
  10. Yes I do understand about the order of creation issue, Follow the rules all the time. That would work fine the way you did it but you needed to make 2 circular patterns instead of a single one with all the cross pockets as I intended from the beginning. Now on the other hand, reason why I'm looking to see if patterns would work with multiple features was so I could use the solid fillets on this case instead of defining the fillets on the base sketch for the cut. Since Mastercam is not really parametric, i.e. I can't modify the size or position of the pockets without having to move-trim base entities and redefine chain geometry, it would make it easier to use solid fillets & chamfers to say something so in case of a required changes on such entities, I can only go to my solid history and change my fillets/chamfers size. This size change won't work if you do define them from the base sketch. Then again, I'm not being picky but in this particualr case I'm working on a revision change for this P/N and guess where the changes where focussed?? Freakin' corner s & pockets positions. I miss solidworks !!!
  11. Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone use solid pattern on MC?
  12. Ok, So here is the deal. I'm trying to make the attached model on MCX6, and trying to use the Solid Pattern Feature. I'm trying to do a pattern of the intersecting pockets shown on the attached file but when I do that, MC would only make the pattern of the square on the left face as shown. If I try to do a 2nd pattern to just copy the fillets & top view pocket it would just do the same square again. Now if I do the cross pockets and fillets and then do the circular pattern, It would highlight the entire feature as I want it to be patterned (as shown on the pic) but the final result would be just the square again. Is it solid Pattern intended for just 1 feature at the time? What am I doing wrong? TIA SOLID PATTERN.MCX-6
  13. How about this one?? Pretty easy to use or modify it comes from a low end engraving program I use all the time. Just open them both on notepad so you can look at them. Although I don't know how you would incorporate them in MC for SWKS Create Fonts.txt default.txt
  14. Just looked on the FTP this morning: TR210 Trunion I have not downloaded thought but figured it may be what your looking for.
  15. got it, I gues I didn't pay attention while reading, I thought you meant it'll do it using a single toolpath
  16. really?? I tried it too using the incremental values for retract and top of stock and some other but haven't figured out how to get it to work to just get me a G41 on the last pass. Besides that I have 2 chains on this op.
  17. Posted Today, 01:31 PM "do it in 2 ops,one rough without cc, and the other finish with cc " doesn't work if you try to keep your tool down between passes
  18. "My favorite way to fix things is duct tape, so take it FWIW. " LMAO Thanks Keith I see now it will be quite a job to get it going, I'll see what I can do.
  19. Does anybody know how I can get a post to only output Cutter Comp only on finish passes on 2D contour using multipasses??
  20. Just as Keith suggested, from the MPMaster: pretract #End of tool path, toolchange phsm_off sav_absinc = absinc$ absinc$ = one sav_coolant = coolant$ coolant$ = zero # if nextop$ = 1003, #Uncomment this line to leave coolant on until eof unless # [ # explicitely turned off through a canned text edit if all_cool_off, [ #all coolant off with a single off code here if coolant_on, pbld, n$, *sall_cool_off, e$ coolant_on = zero ] else, [ local_int = zero coolantx = zero while local_int < 20, [ coolantx = and(2^local_int, coolant_on) local_int = local_int + one if coolantx > zero, [ coolantx = local_int pbld, n$, scoolantx, e$ ] coolantx = zero ] coolant_on = zero ] # ] Notice the option to either use it or not. Thanks Keith!!!
  21. You don't need to delete that line as it won't do anything to the output. The only other thing I can think off is that the M09 is being forced. Does it output an M09 even if you set all your coolant to off? Can you send me a copy of the post so I can take a look at it?
  22. From the MPMaster, look for the following: cool_zmove : yes$ #Coolant off with last move Without trying it here I don't know how it will affect your M08/M09 callout
  23. get them to save the file to an older version of parasolid. I believe the current will be V23.00?? I think IRC using V21. to work with Solidworks 2012 and X5
