ya im going to start trying to use wcs much more and when i do that it might be handy to be able to see more options in tp manager

really? HSS cutters. Never thought of even trying that. I guess it could work cuz the hss drill seem to do ok in that crap.

The thing i like is it is fairly easy to find and change the options too

my lungs still hurt and my nose is burning.......good thing i have the weekend to recoop.....then its back at it on monday....cant wait to get back to steel and aluminum ( which just kills you slowly)

I agree thad....there is too much clutter with all that info there...I mean how often do you really use all that is there....I just took everything i dont really need off and man what a diff.....so nice to be able to have options

im cutting this crap today and it stinks bad and hurts your lungs. i hate this crap. the mask does not seem to help much. Did i say i hate this crap. well i do and im the only one in the shop today suffering. no ventalation system in the shop so there is like a cloud in here. I go outside every 1/2 hour for some air but its so stinkin cold out there. I cant win. Why am i the only stupin one working today

Is there any way to take the [wcs:top]-[tplane:top] out of the toolpaths in the toolpath manager. so the description of the toolpath is not so long making the window bigger.

i had the same reservations but now that i have one for just a few days i love it and can see now how much faster it will be. So just go for it

i hope i can get solids soon so i can see what it can do. For now though i have to use surfs. i guess its just one step at a time. Im impatient

good thoughts... most of the time i just get files that are solids and then i just create surf form solids. I guess its not that much of a pain but i would like to see how the solid drill feature works. i will put my curiosity on hold for a while until the work demands solids or my shop hits the lottery

I have level 1 but dont have solids.... I have never worked with solids and was wondering if i should look into getting solids. I always have to change the solids to surfaces.

I had a small monitor 19 in and it seemed like there was no room for the op manager to stay on screen. So i got a larger wide screen 24 in and it is no problem now.

WOW... So you can make any button on the spaceball do just about anything in mcam. Thats so refreshing... Ive been playing around with it (whenever my boss is not looking) for about an hour now and im loving it. Cant wait to become a master at what all the keys do so i wont have to look at the little cheat sheet that i made. Thanks again John for all the good advise [big Grin] [smile] [big Grin]

I cant believe it.... The DHL guy came in today and i was like....no way it cant be. I got my spaceball 500....hooked it up and what an amazing little thing....now all i have to do is get used to it and configure all the buttons.... oh ya and i showed it to my boss and right away he said is that for home or for work....I said work and he immediately said he would comp me for it. yaaaa

i set all the settings in the verify window and verify. then latter when i go to verify it forgets all the boundaries. i have the initial stock size source set to use last size. sometimes it pops up with $$$$$$ in the boundaries fields. is this bothering anyone else?

I hope not... That would suck I told the guys at work that i payed for it myself and they looked at me like i was insane. They said "90 bucks for a mouse." We will see who gets the last laugh when raise time comes and i get awarded for getting things done faster.

well i bought this one for 90 bucks brand new. I hope it works good and saves me some time since i have to use my own money to buy it. Maybe once i get it and show my boss that it works he may comp me
