  4. Hello, I noticed when I post my rough and finish bore bar code it doesn't read the retract amount on the tool data parameter page. Below is the code posted out.. The attached screen shot show my settings.. I didn't run this way so it didn't actually crash but it would have at the end when it went home.. The bore was still in the part as you can see.. What am I missing in the settings? Do I need a lead out? I don't use lead in and out much on lathe... Where does the post read the rapid z retract amount from? I am using mplmaster post and control file and using advaced 4-2 machine file... 5. Hello, Does anyone have a generic twin spindle post for me to test? The mplmaster post doesn't seam to support sub spindles.. I need to know how the post controls the left and right spindles in the tool data like pictured.. None of the post I have will change when I post for right sub spindle... Thanks
  6. Hello, I am working on a post for a Okuma MC-4VB vertical 50 taper mill. I started with a MPmaster post. I need it to have the following code before every tool change. How do I do this in the post.. Needs to look like this.. (prog) ... N2 IF [VATOL EQ 10] N4 <---------------- I need the [VATOL EQ (the current tool nuber)] N4 --------------- to post before every tool change... N3 T10 M6 N4 S---- M3 ....... ........ In my MC-4Vb, VATOL is the system variable for active tool. Line N2 is a conditional that will jump to N4 if the tool 10 is already there, if not, it will proceed to N3 and change the tool Thanks
  7. I am not sure yet I will get some correct code for this next week... Below is what sample code they gave me for a simple job but I don't see any simultaneous turret stuff. But I am not sure what to look for... So in Mastercam it is just simple select either the upper or lower turret for each operation and correctly define in tool data but how does it know to run at same time? Or is this a post thing? 8. Can you program the upper turret say for rough turning and the lower turret for drilling at the same time? If so how is this done? I have a old 1992 Miyano BNC-34T Twin Turret machine O-T control that I am starting to develop a post with Mplmaster.... Thanks

  10. Sounds good thanks... Does the Mplmaster post support twin turrents? Do you have a good post to start with? Thanks
  11. Hello Chris... I am still looking for post info for the 1992 Miyano BNC-34T Twin Turret machine.. Thanks
  12. Ok thanks that is what I thought... So you can use detailed report to separate the tools?
  13. Hello, I there a way to only print some of the tools on the tool list report? I have tool for fixtures and other stuff I don't want printed... Or do I have to make a new machine type and put my operations in there? Thanks
  14. Hello, Is there a way to adjust the back plot cycle time that Mastercam comes up with? It always seams to be about 20 to 30% faster then what I get out on your machines... Thanks
  15. Thanks guys... I got the chook to work only with my 90 deg geo in front view.... I tried everything in th chook to get the top cutout you see here to come out... It would only use the outside profile of the part... Then I tried Xform project and that worked for the top geo cutout on the solid round... Is there a trick to the chook? Couldn't get Xform roll to work right either... I was on top view it it looked like the pics... What is the trick for that top cutout on the round solid?
  16. Hello, Is there a way in Mastercam to flatten the wire frame geometry from a solid ? Like if there is a cutout on a round and I want the geo flat...
  17. Hello, At work we have a intel ® 2160 1.8 Ghz pc with ATI Radeon HD 5570 video card and 2 gb of ram on XP Pro.... I also have a i7 - 980 six core pc with GTX 460 videos card and 24 gbs of ram at home on W7 Ultimate 64... Both run mastercam X5 and X6... The loading time of STL models to my verify isn't much different at all between the two... What helps the STL loading time? I have some big STL's that take a long time...
  18. Great thanks... That all sounds nice... Much easier then putting everything in manually... Now if I can get past this error all will be good...
  19. We have three Mazak VTC 200B and C's... We also have three Mazak 510C and 410A's... Also a Okuma Mill... The VTC's runs better and are much easier to set up then all of our other machines. The table is stationary this makes a huge difference in HSM and rigidity with the column moving in x.... Also the table is almost 10" lower then the 510's and Okumas... Making the operators happy with putting vises and fixtures in and out... Two of them have 32" long trunnion tables always in the machine... The Z height is nice on these machines...
  20. Ya I forgot I haven't installed 7.1.6 yet... I will have to call the dealer and ask why I get this error.... I have never used the Mastercam interface with Vericut I have only been bringing in NC code and STL file and setting it up manually? What exactly does the interface bring in from Mastercam? Does it bring in any solids that are on the screen for fixtures and use the stock definition for the stock? Or does it just bring in tools and work offsets? Thanks
  21. I thought I did all of that right... I put the mcRes.local file in the C:\Program Files\mcamx6.... That was the one I wasn't for sure on... I rebooted and double checked the environment stuff...
  22. Hello, I have Vericut 7.1.6 that I am trying to interface with M6... I get this error (See pic).. Does anyone know the fix for this? Or should I call my dealer? Here is the direction I used... http://cgtech.com/usa/Content-Downloads/installing_cgtech_products.pdf http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310519
  23. Hello, I have a mpmaster post from M5 that I had M6 change over to M6 post... For some reason I don't get the right M code for Mist and thru tool like i do on my M5 post.. The M6 post has the M50 and M51 in there and no M07.... So how do I change the pull down to read right? Is it in the control or machine definition? Thanks
