  1. hello to all. can someone guide me to the right link if this is something already talked about. or here is my question. when doing 4th axis work i create new view for each angle of part a90, a180. etc. ok all that is fine the only thing i would like to see is my part rotating to that angle, and not my tool. i'd like my tool to stay vertical the whole time. is there a way i can do that?. thanks in advance.
  2. i still have the original one saved just in case something goes wrong
  3. i was having the same problem here. could't open some sldprt files. yep only some, then downloaded the SWDocumentMgr_2008.ZIP from ftp site, still wasn't working. then i loaded the SWDocumentMgr_2009.ZIP into the CommonSWorksData subfolder and every thing was good. it even open the files that i didn't have a problem with. thank you guys
  4. i'ts a little bit of work,but it'll work for now.
  5. i had a situation where we made a part from solid model, then there was rev change.the costumer said, oh we only changed this and that,so we modified our prog. to what he said, but some stuff was just not blending right.so i tried change recognition. didn't have any success, then what i ended up doing was merging the new part to the old part right on top of each other on a different level and color, and turned on translucent and there was a whole lot more changes. we contacted the customer and he said oh i forgot about those other changes, but looking at the part for about 1/2 hr i found all the different changes
  6. try gadwin printscreen @ gadwin.com theres a free version of it,but since its free when you print something, it says like demo version or something on your printout. i tried the free version i was messing with it, and i liked it right away, so i bought it. its not that expensive. it makes really nice setup sketches.
  7. i can't believe it took me this long to post something.
  8. i use the adjust feed on arc move all the time just for the finishing tool path.when i generate a rough tool path i just go back into the tool setting and uncheck it before i even start the chaining seq.it is very helpful when your running fin. tools @ 120 ipm on straight cuts and you come on inside rad or outside rad. at that feedrate you won't get true rads. because of tool deflection
