  1. Point toolpath is probably the easiest.
  2. Here ya go. http://www.eapprentice.net/shop/mastercam/mp_pp_mill/
  3. We had a really nice speroni where i used to work don't remember the model.we used to setup boring heads Indicate drills and reamers and of course the heights.oh and it had this nice little printer that it would print out your Height and diameter.where i work now they don't have one and a lot of the guys there didn't know the advantage of having one ,so what i ended up doing was ordering a 40 taper tool changing fixture (I know, ghetto right?)and using a digital height gage. every one there measures their tools in the machine.i just didn't like that fact that my number on the tool height offset page was like -12.567 for tool number one and another -14.543 for the next tool.i wasn't use to seeing that.so for now my 130.00 dollar changing fixture does just fine.and the funny thing is that i never tried to convince any of my coworkers to change their method of measuring tools.they would ask why do you do it that way and i gave them a couple reasons why,and now some of them are measuring their tools and have them ready for the next job before the machine is even open.oh yea the only downside is we have to indicate our drills and reamers in the machine, But we became really good at that .
  4. Seriously i have alot of respect for you,but sometimes your a pain in the xxxx.and i know i dont have a large post count before you point that out.
  5. Thanks ken. This is what its all about when posting issues with mastercam.its not to bash mastercam. Maybe the questions are asked a little harsh some times.
  6. Ken He has 2 videos one in verify and the other in backplot.any ways,so today i checked both computers with the same part file, And now their both doing as ktechdan showed in his verify video.confusing, then i open the file that ran verify ok with the quadro card Yesterday and now its also doing what shows on ktechdans video. Weird.
  7. Im only seeing this on the verify.not in the old or new backplot.
  8. Ktechdan, what kind of video card do you have? Just wondering, cause we have x7 mu1 in 2 boxes. One box has a radeon card and is behaving like yours.and the other has a quadro card and its not doing What my radeon card is doing.we didn't verify the same parts but both pretty complex.but i just read a comment that This was done on purpose.tomorrow i'm going to verify same part on both computers and see what happens.
  9. I think its a legit reason to start this thread.me personally I'm not using x7 yet,but for anyone else who is if its showing a violation in verify and you can't seem to find the problem, well maybe there is no problem with the programming side of it.now people will now know it could be a verify issue.
  10. Thanks for sharing the info bob.
  11. We have a hass with a nikken trunnion,a few months ago i made a part that required milling on different Angles.removed the nikken and i just ran the job again,so it caused my center of rotation to change. Since i programmed everything incremental(linking parameters)all i had to do was move my part in my mcx file to the New center of rotation and worked like a charm.
  12. Ahh,i see.i never notice how you pick you're operation and it highlights your tool. I always look at the tool name and tool number on the right.man you guys are picky . But if it makes code for 1/2 endmill, then that's a problem.
  13. Lmao .well there is that 1%.so its probably a joke.
  14. I do the same.we have to remember to update the manual entry page if we update offset in machine.it works good.
  15. How about a containment boundary.
  16. I haven't loaded x7 in my box yet,but i wonder what else is broke that was working before.
  17. I'm curious as to why you wanted it removed.i think it's pretty handy there.i can check if my coolant Is on or not without having to open the operation.
  18. it's a user define code.we had some machines setup that way too.ours was set up to zero return in z axis then in x and y before making a tool change on our horizontal mills.
  19. Oh yea,i took colin's first mp101 class and i really like the recorded videos cause i keep going back to them For ref, And catching some of the things i missed in class when i was taking notes.money well spent.
