I did the same bob.but since its been out in the public beta and heard good things about it.i installed the public release
right away and so far its been good.the only issue I have ,and I know you use vericut so for you it doesn't matter, but my machine
simulation is behaving a little weird.i already contacted shopware about this issue just waiting to hear from them.
I was having the same issue when installed x8. I renamed the original nethasp.ini in x8 and copied the nethasp.ini from x7 into my x8 folder
and all is good.
I had same issues with verify's new look and fatures.but after getting all my settings tweeked its a matter of getting use to it.
So far I'm really happy with it and don't miss the old verify at all.
I believe you when you say that.i rather train someone who knows nothing about it, than someone who knows
A little, because someone that knows a little is enough to be dangerous.
Naa jim the cutter comp start should be on a g1 move.if your doing a straight cut.set it in your
Lead in /out parameter page.if your using it in circle mill adjust in your start/end angle parameter page.
On the nikken there is a precise bore on it.so the base that i made has a boss the size of the nikken bore minus a few tenths
And i have 4 3/8-16 bolts hoding it down to the platter.could'nt go with the quick change cause we're limited on machine z axis travel.
But this set up works out great for us.we're mainly a prototype shop.our quantities are 10 parts the most.the parts that i make on this machine range from 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 to 5.0 x 5.0 x 5.0
I ordered one based on info i read here.now we have 5 and 1 of the small ones.i think its like 2" wide.
We are very happy with them.the lang dealer sends them out on trial because their confident in the
Product.
