  1. If I have a part that has .063 thick wall and I want to use 2D High Speed machining what would be the best way to rough then finsh the walls? This part is like a pocketing toolpath! I have a 2D Dynamic Area Mill to rough it but I want to finish it as I go down. I am using a 1/2" with a .120 radius with a step down of .500" then I want to finish the outside at that point and then go to 1" deep. I will be machining 1.750" deep.
  2. I tried to load a modle of the Steves sub plate on our DMF and it reall slowed it down then finally crashed!!!!
  3. And I created a Seco chamfer mill today that can chamfer on the top and bottom of the insert and I tried to use a contour mill with 2D chamer and it will not let me use a undefined tool to do this!!!! And when I change the type to chamfer mill I can not get the diameter to scale properly.
  4. Ok thanks everyone I didn't think it was possible! And yes what I am thinking about is like assemblies in solid work or NX
  5. I am using the vise in set-up #1 as a set-up tool for the guys on the floor. Using WCS view set-up#1 and loading the vise on the sceen as it would be on the machine with the part clamped in it. If I flip the part over in wcs for set-up #2 I want to show the part in the vise again! But I don't want more vise in the file. The more solids I have in the MCX file the slower it runs!!!!
  6. If I want to have a vise for one set-uip when I am using WCS. I would like to use anthoer WCS for the set-up #2 but I don't want to have two or three differant vises in my MCX file. Is there a way we can do this or is this something that could be looked at for upcoming releases?
  7. Thanks everyone. The DYNAMIC_MILL.MCX-6 is exactly what I needed. One other thing. How can I insert a pic or vidio on this post?
  8. Hello everyone. I need a toolpathe that will work like peel mill but on like an open pocket contour. I want to set over from the open end .050. Can anyone help with this? I am sure ther is one I must be overlooking!
  9. Ok! Thanks everyone! And I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. All three but it is only moving in x and y when it errors out.
  11. I had the minumum radius set at .2 and still could not make the machine happy! If I turn the filter off the machine will run but the post is still outputting radii when it is plunging but the control is happy with that! And that radius is .075!
  12. Has anyone had a problem with a DMC80FD machine with a SINUMERIK 840D/840Di control erroring out on arcs to small when you turn filter on in the high speed tool paths?
  13. We have HSK100A! I have found Step files on all the holders we have. Is there a way to save them in the tool holder file?
  14. Peon, Would you be willing to shear your library?
  15. I know Mastercam has a tool holder library of HSK holders But I am not seeing all the holders I an looking for. Does anyone have or know where I can download more holders?
  16. We need the compare to the part model. We need the Gouge check (whenever the tool rapids into the part) We need the color mapping colors! Green is good red is BAD. Current color mapping set-up in Verify is good. We need somthing that works with WCS. We need somthing that works with multipul solids We need somthing that is fast and doesn't take all day to verify!
  17. Try looking at the Jergens vises. http://www.jergensinc.com/site/wsg_production_vises_-and_accessories/production_vises
  18. I thought that may be the answer. Thanks everyone for your help.
  19. I have a job I am working on where I want to hold my part in a vise. I want to use WCS to rotate my part geo. only and leave my vise geo. in the WCS that it is in now! Is there a way to do this? I thought about having 3, 4, 5, or 6 vises drawn but I was hoping I could just leave my vise in one spot and just rotate my part.
  20. Thanks everyone. I will keep looking for something that work good for me.
  21. Does anyone know what Cad file creates .CGM files? I am using Corel Draw to open them But I would like to know what Cad file creates them.
